I know I read somewhere about the PvE dps tiers for class, im not 100% on this since my highest toon is 31 but I think it was something like: tier 1 Predator, Mage tier 2 Rogue, Summoner tier 3 Enchanter, Crusader, Bard, Brawler tier 4 Druid, Shaman, Berserker tier 5 Cleric, Guardian Now im not asking to debate this list, or add ANY points to this list, flame, quote this list..or even remember this [I cannot control my vocabulary] list...its just an EXAMPLE. What I am asking, is what would a list of this nature look if it was concerning you're above average but not perfect player, with above average but not perfect gear...in a level 70 group PvP environment. From reading posts on this, very negative, forum, this is a list Ive thrown off the top of my head and not based on any actual facts. tier 1 Rogue tier 2 Predator, Mage, Necromancer, Enchanter tier 3 Bard, Brawler, Druid, Shaman. tier 4 Berserker, Cleric tier 5 Guardian Of course a majority of the threads I've read are people whining they died in 1v1, so my list might be more directed to that...but Im still interested in the group PvP. Five tiers is not necessary, its just what I ended up with twice...meh Im just very curious, and would love some input Also, explaining why you placed each class in that tier is more important then telling me its there...I couldnt do this cause Ive got no experience in the matter Thanks mates. Sorry if this has been asked before, couldn't find it.

This is coming from the perspective of someone who is a Freeporter, so I've only ever fought Qeynos classes and a very small spattering of Freeport classes, since most Exiles are Qeynos classes too. I'm not sure if you're asking for raw DPS here, but I'll include survivability into the account. It's not much good if you can deal 40,000 damage a second if you're dead in half a second. Tier 1: Ranger, Warlock Rangers and Warlocks do very high damage and, importantly, have very high survivability. Warlocks only have this if they are STA specced, however. I put warlocks above Wizards simply because encounter AoEs, especially Rift, are very very powerful in PvP. These two classes would therefore be very high on the "oh god kill them" list. Tier 2: Swashbuckler, Fury, Warden, Wizard Swashbucklers have a lot of alpha strike damage, although if you can survive that or kite them you're usually fine. I'd still put them at the top in terms of raw damage though. They're equal to a ranger in damage, but since they can't escape quite as well, or do that damage from a long way away, they'd be tier 2. Furies and Wardens don't do as much damage, but are extremely hard to kill in one versus one combat. I'm not saying their damage is bad here, because it definitely isn't, but you won't be killed as quickly as you would by rangers or warlocks. Wizards go here because (again only if STA specced) they're reasonably hard to kill now and can do very good damage. But since they don't have the AoE powers of the Warlock, they don't get to go top tier. Tier 3: Troubador, Monk, Berserker, Illusionist Monks are solid damage dealers, and have a self heal. Against one of the classes above they'd probably lose using your qualification of good-but-not-perfect equal sittings, but they can still give a good showing. Troubadors have a fantastic mez and an equally fantastic charm. Their damage often isn't in the same line as the earlier classes, but a well played troubador can do a lot of harm to one or two people. Just look at Chavster or Paikis for examples of this. Berserkers have lots of health, lots of health regen, a good 6+ second stifle and very high mitigation. If properly specced they can also dish out quite a lot of damage. Their tanking ability in a group is very good too. All three of these classes are good in PvP, but not to the extent the earlier ones are. Often they're better in group engagements rather than 1v1. They'd rarely be your first target. Illusionists deal reasonable damage, but their main power is their amazing crowd control. If there's an illusionist in the opposing group, they'll be called first target nearly all the time. However, so long as you can actually hit them, they'll die extremely fast. Unless there's a guardian/berserker protecting them even with a healer or two they'll be dead when called early. Tier 4: Mystic, Templar, Guardian Guardians are still mini-gods in group PvP because they're brilliant taunters. However, their damage isn't quite as good as a berserker and ideally you're not going to be hitting them first. They're a great addition to a PvP group because they'll stop the Rangers and Swashbucklers of the world killing your healers, but they're not going to be the ones killing the swashies or rangers, usually. Mystics and Templars bring useful buffs to the group and are of course nice healers/warders. But they're not the damage machines the furies are nor are they as good at healing as the warden. If they're the only healer in the group they'll get called, but don't expect them to be as important of a target as a druid. Usually one scout will be assigned to lockdown duty on one of these classes to stop them healing. Tier 5: Dirge, Paladin, Conjurer Dirges have a host of great buffs to bring to a group but are simply not as powerful as a Troub in PvP. Their fear isn't as effective as the Troubador Mez, and they don't have a charm. Considering a lot of Freeport classes use disease damage, their disease buff is also quite helpful. Still, they'll tend to be the last target considered in a fight, if they're present at all. I'm not saying Dirges are bad, they can be very powerful in the hands of a good player. I'm just saying that in an utterly equal fight played by a reasonable player a dirge would probably lose against the other classes. Paladins are quite honestly pushovers at lower tiers, and that hasn't really changed at T7. They can't taunt as well as the Guardian/Zerker can, they can't do as much damage as many other classes, and although they've got some reasonable heals their main one is still on a 15 minute timer. I've seen maybe three T7 Paladins and I'd consider them all easy targets. I've never seen one with a high title, nor have I lost to one. Conjurers are the poor cousins of the wizard and warlock. They've got the potential to do a lot of damage, but like the Illusionist they are extremely squishy. If they're attacked they'll go down extremely quickly. Although I have fought some very effective conjurers in the past they are rarely in PvP groups and most Conjurers on Venekor are farm bots.
