Hello everyone, I am new to the game, and have not chosen a server to call home yet. I was hoping to get some feedback from this post as to which server would be best for a new player to start on (any that aren't all "end game only" yet?) I have decided to play the roll of a Dirge once I find a server, and will be playing on the evil side. Once I do find the server to play on, the next search will be for a guild to join. Hopefully the person who can suggest a good server to start on will be able to give some recommendations to a guild or two? I do enjoy role playing, but that is not required for my server or guild! Please help if at all possible, and thank you for taking the time to read this and welcome a new player to the game!

Welcome to EQ2 <img src="/smilies/69934afc394145350659cd7add244ca9.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> On servers, everyone here will let you know that his/her server is the best to choose. The good thing is: that is correct. There are no bad servers out there, so best to choose one with a good load at your playtime. When you create your character and check the server screen, these will be listed from low to high loaded, highest are to see on bottom of the list. Once you have chosen your server, you can either check ingame for guilds by using the U key, but this only shows a part of the guilds who are currently recruiting, and most times only the larger ones. Another possibilty is to check the server forum (after you decided where to play on), most of them have stickied lists of guilds. You can also post on these server forums about what exactly you are looking for. Happy questing and hunting!
