I have an idea but wanted to post bits and pieces here to see what the response would be without giving away my whole idea as I am a writer and have created stand alone mods for other games before. Some of you may have played the Dreadnaught mod I created for Morrowind, I still receive requests for it via e-mail today.

My idea is simple but could open up an entirely new direction to go for the inhabitants of Norath.

Rumors abound about the background of Lucan D'Lere as he appears to have come out of nowhere as a dominant and carismatic leader with no apparent lineage. Instead of going into new areas of Norath suppose we take it into the past in order to safeguard our future.

Scenario:

When searching the castle in Nariak a traitorous Dark Elf accidentally stumbles upon an ancient text written in a forgotten or unknown language, thinking that they may be able to use this as a bargaining chip if the betrayal goes badly they take it with them and depart the city. During their time in Haven, dark images begin to form at odd times in the mind of this betrayer ... images of another world and someone that Lucan D'Lere is bowing in submission to. In order to rid themselves of these nightmarish images the betrayer seeks the aid of the Euridites. Consider a realm where the powers of a Lich are looked upon as the musings of a bumbling apprentice. This is the realm of the ancients and their dark powers are ...

If this is the wrong place to post this please advise me as I do not want to post it in the wrong place.

Aye, this is really the wrong place to post this, try in the Tavern Section, under Travelers tales or Off topic. Additionaly Lucan did not come out of nowhere as he was present in EQ1's Freeport. Heres a good site for researching lore for eq1 & 2. http://lorenorrath.free.fr/timeline.php

Thank you, I have reposted it in the tales area. I suspect the devs will never see it though.
