Greetings everyone, I rolled a Mystic some time ago, and he's level 45 now. I've had lots of fun doing quests and grouping occasionally for some extra xp and AA. Even though leveling up has been slow due to very low DPS, I've had fun doing it. I would group more, since I can get more xp AA and better loot that way, but my computer is pretty low end and some instances run very slowly -- in fact I can remember Stormhold running like a slideshow. FG and RoV ran better, but I don't really want to go to instances I don't know and get my self and others killed all the time since the instance might run as slow as SH. The problem is that from now on there apparently aren't as much quests to do, and you either have to group or grind to level up. Because my computer may not handle instances, the only option remains grinding, but who can actually grind from 45 to 70? It would probably take years since I also have to concentrate on my studies and I also want to maintain a real life while playing the game... Does this mean I will have to either upgrade my computer (that actually runs other games released in the same year or even later perfectly, such as WoW and Guild Wars) or quit the game because there is nothing left to do? Please correct me if I'm wrong about this.

I have a Mystic and a warlock. Have you tried to change your graphic settings on your options? Try very high performance. As a mystic is gets very very boring soloing outside zones. If you cant go to instances i would roll a good solo class. Necro, warlock etc etc.

At 45 there are quests in sinking sands and feerot that are very soloable. You can also solo your way thru most of the DFC quests, but I don't think you would be able to kill the emporer alone. It is a private instance in zek, so you probably will run just as good if not better than in an overworld zone performance-wise.

Yes, you are not going to go as fast solo as grouped while playing a mystic, but I promise that there are enough quests to do to keep you going well into your 60s if you arent grouping much.

Also, this link may help. http://eq2.wikia.com/wiki/Category:Solo_Timelines

Thanks for replying everyone. I've done almost all Feerrott solo quests, most of Steamfont solo quests and I've also visited SS, which is probably better for a little higher level characters though. I've noticed that there are lots of solo quests left to be done, but it takes more than 10 quests on this level to level up, unlike on lower levels, which I find worrying -- I'd have to grind the rest of the xp I need to be able to do harder higher level quests. I think I'll go and buy some more memory for my computer and see how the game runs. For now, rolling another character is not an option, as I'd have to go to all those zones I barely made out of sane again, and I'd have to do all those timelines over. Perhaps I will take a little break from the game and then roll a Conjuror or something.
