Why would anyone do these if you don't get any tradeskill experience? Faction with the tradeskill association LOL is there some benefit?

Guilded characters love them as it gives guild status points as well. I mostly do them to level up tradeskilling with the creation of items and get the money back that I have spent for fuels, and help my guild level up at the same time. You do get personal status as well, wich is good for buying status items like horses but again, I think you need to be guilded to get this, but I wouldn't swear to it. Edited cause Quilded should have been Guilded <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />

Ahh, I was under the impression you can NOT level up your trade skill. If you can, then this seems like a really good idea. Thanks

You get normal xp, the next GU is supposed to change that and you get bonus xp, if I under stand it right. The status you get for writ can be used to by special items or give discounts on horses.

Yeah, it wasn't that you got NO XP, you still got whatever XP you'd get making the items. Next update you'll also get XP for completing the Writ. For the non-guilded it's a decent alternative to just grinding to level. Pays a little cash, too.
