Can I speed up the updates? 45 hours remaining

I installed my game, started my subscription, and have begun patching. It started off fine hovering around 8 hours remaining. I expected that much. However, now, it's hovering around 35-40 hours until completion. My question is, is there something I'm doing to impede the updating speed? My internet connection is plenty fast, so I am a little bit confused as to how this is taking so long. Is there another way I can get my game updated? At the end of this message, it's at 45 hours remaining.

the downlaod timer are very inn accurate as they go from the speed of the current file, and if that one is very slow by some reason ( high demand for example) the countdown belives tahts the case for all files, wich usaly is false, so dont trust that timer, its a lier! (some times its acctualy right) but 45h sounds abit to much unlesss you are on a 52k link. so just wait and see, the timer might jump to a more plesant time soon <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />

<p>The dowloader sucks....it seems to reconnect for each file, and sometimes gets hung up on a file.  Mine was doing that in the beginning....but instead, i decided to watch it.  Everytime the orange bar hangs up on a file (not moving, or going super slow) I CANCEL and then when it resets I push download again.  Usually this fixes the problem, but you have to continue watching it as it will get hung up again.</p><p> Doing this took my download so far to about 2.5 hrs, and i've only got about 30 min left.</p>
