Hello everyone! I've been playing EQ2 since launch, and only recently returned... to put it plainly, I am excited, but overwhelmed, by all the changes and updates, and I've been paddling upstream trying to make sense of it all. I had two questions: I need some clarification on the AA system. Am I screwed since I'm in the mid/high level range and leveled up before all this stuff came out? Will I have to wait for level 70 to start building those points? Also, are Mystics still just about as fun as they were when I first betrayed Freeport, and became one of the first Iksar mystics on Antonia Bayle? I love wards... healing feels wonky, but something about avoiding the damage altogether feels awesome.

You will have no problem getting AAs, regardless of your level. If you do ever hit a roadblock finding AAs on the content that is at your current level range, you can mentor and get AA from content at lower level ranges (both quests and named mobs). Mystic is definately a good class and I'm sure you can read more information on various boards than I can give you in this post.

I was in the same position, level 52 with 5 AAs. You level AAs very fast. Especially if you do any sort of raiding. My guild killed Lockjaw on monday and I ding'd two AAs out of the kill. I think I'm up to 25 or so now? (Week and a half later) As to fun, the winds currently seem to favor defiler as the uber choice, but with the agility line meaning I can solo, as well as all the great healing and debuffs we can do, I'd say mystics are more fun than ever. Shamans in general are pretty wanted everywhere as well. (Though I still find people who don't remember we're healers.)

As one of those mystics that was already 60 before aa even was introduced =) I can say you will find more than enough stuff to max out your aa's.

My quest journal still has a ton of quests in it I need to finish at some point and I 've been maxed at 70lvl/100aa for sometime now.

As for still being fun, I love my mystic and have since I made her a couple days after launch =). Defilers seem to be a flavor of the month since they are wanted in raiding for the MT group, but as a mystic that does raid I can say we do just fine in the MT group =).

With the achievement lines available for mystics these days (particularly the agility line and EOF melee line) I am having even more fun that I used to. I love the fact I can be a very good healer and still get up on mobs and beat the snot out of them.
