Hey guys recently Ive been playing all the fighter types: Paladin, SK, Berserker, Guardian, etc, and I can't seem to agree on one I like, I know you go through posts like this all the time, but I have tried the classes out and need a little bit of expert advice. I have no problem tanking, its fun, but I really want to be able to solo well when Im not in a group. So, I was trying to find which class solo's best, and to solo that well, which AA lines should I choose for that class? SK/Bruiser/Monk's probably solo the best. Paladin's solo well too because they have heals but it takes forever to kill anything because their dps is so low, so not recommended. Berserker and Guardians are more group oriented tanks. But Berserkers solo pretty good too. Guardians do alright but again take awhile like Pallies to kill things. I have a 30 Guard and most of it was solo. For more detailed info on AA and stuff ask in the specific class forums.

<p>Trust me on this, I've been a Pally since launch. Don't roll a Pally if you want to solo.</p><p>SK/Bruiser/Monk are the best at soloing.</p>

Shadowknights, bruisers, and monks (as stated) are the best for soloing for the most part. Berserkers, however, are excellent when it comes to chopping through crowds of weaker mobs due to the large amount of AOE and counter attack based skills they get. They are generally less effective against single strong mobs but handle crowds very well. Berserkers are also probably the best of the four as far as being a tank for a group.

Oh shadowknights definitely can do some AOE damage, but I don't think it's on par with the berserker. But they are most assuredly way ahead of the brawlers and guardians.

<p>Off the top of my head:</p><ul><li>Stance that has a 20% chance to counter any hit, does damage and threat</li><li>Offensive stance procs an AOE</li><li>Rampage turns all attacks AOE for 10 swings</li><li>Open wounds turns attacks AOE for like 30 sec</li><li>Assault is a cone AOE combat art</li><li>Slaughter is a circular AOE combat art</li><li>Shout is an encounter based AOE</li><li>Weapon Shield is a combat art that auto counter attacks</li><li>Wall of Fury/Rage is an AOE snare</li><li>Agility AA line adds an AOE proc to auto attacks</li><li>Stamina AA line gives an automatic counter with buckler</li></ul><p>But healing wise you've definitely got us beat. My only combat heal is Vision of Madness which only works once an hour and requires me to die for it go off <img src="/smilies/0320a00cb4bb5629ab9fc2bc1fcc4e9e.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></p>

We only get a damage shield/taunt and our blessing (reactive lifetap), and some stuff in the agi line which gives us conical AEs on autoattacks apart from the 5 straight aes. <img src="/smilies/8a80c6485cd926be453217d59a84a888.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> So you should have us beat.
