It this possible? My friend is starting to play EQ2 with me and he said he wants to be an Assassin and I suggested Brig. He said the Brig seems to be a WoW Rogue clone so no go there and he refuses to be a tank because when we got to lvl 55 on the progression servers with him as an SK no one ever wanted to group with him, just me (cleric). So, will a Warden + Assassin duo work alright or will we be SoL? This is going to be on the PvP server if that matters.

I duo'd often with an Assassin in PvP - Wardens buff agi, and that's a nice buff for a scout class. How well you do will, of course, depend on how well both of you play each class.

(I disagree that Brigand is WoW rogue clone (I think Swash is more similar), but your friend needs to play what he likes. Brigands and Assassins here have a ton more survivability and utility than their WoW counterparts ...just being able to invis and dps doesn't make the classes clones, IMO.)

If a Warden can be with anyone who tracks, that duo will do well. Getting the first hit is (sadly) often what gives you the upper hand in PvP. Also, Wardens see invis (after 20), and can see that and stealth both with a totem.

For Warden, if you can have a duo partner that can either keep 'em off you, or kill 'em fast while you keep 'em busy ....that's a good duo. So you aren't SoL at all, in my opinion.

I duo my warden with an assassin, and we do very well together. It can be a challenge to keep him alive at times, but it is also a lot of fun. We are able to duo even level ^^^ mobs without a problem, and can even take adds most of the time.

Im a ranger now, but I was an assassin for 8 months. When I got the chance to duo with a druid we killed a LOT of people. For the simple fact that I can tear them apart while the druid added some dps and kept me up, I didnt have to be very careful with who I engaged. As a ranger its a whole different story, with a fury I just rip through people, I can start 45 meters away and tear peope up. I honestly would suggest going to q and duoing with a ranger, they seem to be a lot less stressful to play, and I just enjoy them more.
