pvp dps vrs pve dps

<p>I am constantly highest on the parse during a pve fight but when we are in a pvp fight I am one of the lowest on the parse. Does anyone have any advice or pointers as to what I could be doing wrong.</p>

what level are you? in tier 7 mages like warlocks/conjurors( i play a 70 conjuror and swash) normally dominant the PVP parse because of there mass aoe damages. Scouts are not huge aoe damagers but rather alot of damage on a single target.

<p>PvP fights are over with so quickly (for the most part) that auto-attack damage doesn't really count for much, whereas in a PvE fight lots of your damage will be coming from auto-attack.</p><p>how many pvp fights last even half as long as the average epic? </p><p>That's my guess anyway</p>

 It kind of depends on the nature of your problem, too. I'm assuming you mean Group/Raid rather than solo PVP considering the parse thing.  Honestly, I think a huge thing when it comes to DPS in raids, and to a lesser extent groups is being Reach spec'd. You dont have to be right next to someone, which means you generally dont have to track someone down to hit them. You also get increases to your two AE's, Hurricane, etc., which is a big deal IMO.  In non-soloing situations, I'll generally keep the option to "auto face" my target checked, so I automatically turn towards my target, and I've got it set up so my target pretty much has a completely opaque glow for visibility too.  Generally when I'm in raid PVP, I'm moving constantly. Usually what I do right off the bat is immediately hit Advanced Warning(AE block at the end of Style line), and drop Lucky Ploy and Dashing Swathe back to back in the highest density of targets I can, and then assist the target through whoever, pop Inspiration, and angling myself so my Hurricane cone is into as high a density as I can get it, and then worry about the three rear attacks later. If the assist is getting taunt locked, I'll /target XXX (XXX being the first 3 letters of the targets name), and try to land them myself. If I'm being taunt locked myself(Some people will tell you this is bad due to reactive taunts and all that), I'll generally drop a couple of CA's on the MT too.

Why do you even parse PVP? All that matters is that your opponent(s) die and you don't....

<p>I dont parse pvp our guild leader does but we are starting to understand that the pvp battles go to fast to build up any real dps. </p><p>I am really trying to spec out to be good all around my sta, str, and agl are all over 300 but my int and wis are suffering for it, I am currently trying to find gear to average out  a little better for int and wis as well. I am in full cobalt master gear.</p>

Generally in raid PvP swashbucklers are near the top of the list right under warlocks, unless of course the warlocks are going down fast in which case swashes are almost always topping the parse. Any good raid vs raid fight the warlocks will be dying very fast since they can make or break the fight.
