I am trying to figure out what to do with my aa's now. For the last 67 levels, i have played primarly in a duo, or a group of 4 or 5 close friends. I have been the tank in these groups, and have AA spec'd accordingly. Str 4/6/8/4/2 Sta 4/4/7/8/2. So last night we did an OOB run, and my ranger friend had a parser. I was parsing just above the fury in the group. Granted the fury was a level higher and is DPS spec'd, and i was tanking, but still, i felt that i was way below where a swash should be. Plus the fact the wizard and ranger where often doubling even tripling what my dps output was.

Later that night we took the group over to MMC, and picked up a tank, so i decided to respec my aa's just to see what all the fuss was about with wis/agi. With that spec (along with getting the mobs back) i was consistantly matching or even beating the level 70 wizard and the 69 ranger in dps.

So now im at a major delima. I still need to tank often with a fury duo, and also with my small group of RL friends, however i don't like the lack of dps i do with my current tanking build. So i am trying to find a build somewhere in between. I want to stay with the sta line, the hitpoint and defensive increase plus the use of a good shield are huge for tanking, and for pvp. So i am trying to decide between agi or wis to go with it. Now wis the only thing useful while i am tanking with a shield is coule, but in a group with a real tank i can drop the shield and get the full benefits of that line. On the other hand, the agi line i gain all the benefits of it even with a shield, however 4 points are wasted in run speed, there isn't any increases to defense, and i don't think the dps increase would be as much as the wis line when im not tanking.

So does anyone have any experience or opinions with this? Any input will help. Thanks !

Try Maxing out your Str/Wis Trees & Using your Def. Stance when you MT for your group of Friends(Master the Stance if you can) & see how that works for you. 4/4/7/8/2 In Wisdom.

What he said. 4-4-6-8-2 STR 4-4-7-8-2 WIS With that build, defense stance, and wearing all the claymore rewards, your avoidance will be roughly 60% or very close to it. I have the 1h from lyceum with the 2% riposte/parry adornment on it (it also has +2 defense and procs +10 defense) for tanking. Everything proc'd I'm at around 62% avoidance and 3500 mitigation with just my buffs. Unfortunately that's better than most level 70 plate tanks, even some of those with at least KoS raid gear.

ok ill give that a shot this weekend. I am a little worried about loosing the AoE taunt, and the extra 1k hitpoints the sta line gives, but if it gives me some more damage to offset that, i might be able to live with it.

Thanks.
