The endline "Master Evasion" ability on the Monk tree is actually useful --please don't take away the AE avoid.

Hopefully, the new benefits work when you are not the direct target. Otherwise, the change ends up being an unintended nerf.

edit: Just ignore that other guy. He's just trying to incite people so the thread gets closed.

Is there anyone that can clarify this AA change, or even post a screen shot? Lose of the AOE avoidance would be a nerf to this ability. Of course, if the spell reflect portion reflects AOEs, then this could be a nice improvement. If not, may I suggest that it reflect a targeted spell AND dodge an AOE? This AA is be no means overpowered as it is now and certainly doesn't require a nerf.

It's not overpowered, we can't even use CAs while the buff is active.

I use this AE dodge ability very often and find it extremely useful ............... its pretty much one of the few good Monk AA's. I hope this is not negated ..........Does the "spell reflect" keep you from taking AE damage?

It may just have been me, but Master Evasion seemed to drop on virtually every autoattack of mine, at least while I was tanking... it may have been bugged causing them to replace it. But anyway, what, pray tell, counts as a "profession spell"?

It definitely went down the instant I autoattacked without me getting swung at. I mean 100% abso-positively the instant my weapon hit the mob. It may not be the autoattack triggering it but something seems to be setting it off incorrectly on my attacks. When it DOES work, yellow text saying "Dodge!" shows up over my char's head. But anyway, reflecting profession spells... only time I can see that actually being useful is the CQ3 mob that casts 15k dmg Ice Comets on the tank. Few of the things you actually even notice are profession spells =

Yeah thats a definate nerf. The other ability is FAR more usefull. I mean to parry or reflect the next directed attack but only reflect if its a prof spell meants you won't reflect any of the raid mobs important stuff and whatever it does its a random attack that could be important or not. Far better to have a 10 second avoid one AE ability.

This is quoted from another Brawler's post on a different website, but its so true - I have to add this to the thread.

"I've been using Master's Evasion since EoF came out 8 months ago. It's a wonderful little ability; I never once considered it overpowered. It was great to be able to run in while all the other fighters were running out, or stay in while they had to retreat so I was able to be in place for things for which they couldn't be in place. Even if all I could do was stand there swinging my arms for 10 seconds it was great. I think it's kind of sad that Master's Evasion is one of the very few things that differentiates me from every other fighter. It's even sadder that it's being looked at to be taken away. Master's Evasion is the sole end-line ability in the EoF AAs that I use. Superior Riposte will also be the sole end-line ability. But don't confuse that with it being particularly useful, it'll simply be more useful than any other single-point gain in EoF AAs. And that, to me, is plain unacceptable."
