when the kunark beta releases do you have to have a pass or do you get it from login screen.

I think there's an application you have to send. When you get accepted you'll get an email. The rest I'm not sure of, I've never been in a beta.

You fill out an application then when your accepted they email you with info on how to access it.  They flag your account with access automatically.

It's too early for the beta program to start for this expansion, since they're still in development. The expansion comes out in November which means you'll see the announcement of beta around the end of Sep/beginning of October most likely.

When beta happens it will be on the front page of the eq2players site. How it normally works is you fill out some informations. If the pick you (which they can do at any time from the moment you said the application up to like the last day of beta). They will send you an e-mail (Make sure that you email is current and dosn't block soe e-mails). In this e-mail you'll have a zip file to download that will have a special patcher for beta. It is always sugested to make a copy of your eq2 folder and patch that So you don't have to have huge patches between live and beta. In the e-mail is a special code that you add to your registration key thing on the site/patcher/ it'll tell you where. This key lets you in to beta. Now if your e-mail blocks SoE e-mail, your out of luck, SoE will not resend your invite. You will though be able to view the beta forms and read what going on though, as the beta forms are part of the normal one just blocked to thous who have not been flagged for beta.

<p>I'm looking forward to it, I pre-ordered Equinox 3 weeks ago, for the guaranteed beta invite, and it was published yesterday so I'm definitely going to be checking Players and my email every day for the invitation link. I've been on Test for a while, so I dearly enjoy doing things before the general public.</p>

<p>From what I understand that was a slick trick used to get people to buy the magazine.  As it turns out if you missed the small print you would miss (as did I) that you were not guaranteed lol.  So really....buying it did nothing but make you think you got a chance or something.</p><p>Next time save the tricks for the circus SOE and just make it clear or offer an incentive that is actually real.  ie "Subscribe to Equinox and receive an in game house pet' or some such thing.  Do not use this kind of tricky marketing on your loyal fans.</p>

As ever people are getting thier knickers in a twist over the ay SOE do things..i read Scotts post and was more than happy to preorder the magazine even without the promise of a beta invite of course im looking forward to RoK but given how little coverage the general printed gaming press gives to EQ2 the magazine would have been a given to buy for me anyway.

Dawy, my knickers are quite not twisted thank you.   I spoke my opinion.  I actually am Sony's biggest fan, live in San Diego, know people that work there AND Blizzard and yadda yadda yadda.     Does not stop me from speaking my mind and giving my opinion , if my husband did this sort of marketing trick in his business I'd tell him the same darn thing .   Its cheap, thats just my opinion.  If I'm wrong and its a guaranteed thing like it said, then I am sorry
