Super rare shiny!!! How I got rich

<p>I wanted to tell my story of how I got rich on a stroke of luck..</p><p>Long ago in SS there appeared a collection for moon and sun beads...I collected tons of these because they were everywhere. For some reason I put them in my house vault...a few weeks ago I spotted them and thought to delete, but when I looked on the broker board there were none. Then when I told someone in my guild they said that collection is no longer around to find....</p><p>So I put them up for sale one by one....I had over 75 of these in total...I put them up for 5 plat on average and sold them ...I have about 10 left and just sold one for 15 plat.</p><p>Thank you sony for for pulling the drops on these and I thank my laziness for keeping them....lol</p><p>Moral of the story...keep stuff, never know when Sony nixes them </p>

I don't envy you your plat, I don't. I DO envy you the shinnies. I have read about these in a few other places. Does anyone know..is this a live event, one day only thing? I wsn't in game at the time, but the idea that a shinny exists that I have no hope of getting...makes me weep <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />

I've heard about those sun and moon beads. Rumor has it that they only exist on a select few servers.

<p>I thought this to be kind of funny in a way. I remember collecting Sun and Moon beads in SS one day and throwing them in my collections and selling the rest right after. I was lacking like 1 sun and moon bead to finish those collections and  could never find them on the broker. I baisically gave up on those collections because of them not existing. </p><p> I dont know why they were removed or if they are, but it seems kind of wierd that they were removed to begin with. Kinda sucks to be honest. I now see a few on the broker for like 6p each, but i wouldnt even try buying those because i know it would take a few years if not longer to complete. Plus 6p for 1 peice of a collection is kinda expensive. I feel like im looking for the lost soul for moppet collection with those quests.</p><p> It would be nice for someone to respond to this thread on why they are removed or so rare, but then again , i dont see that happening.</p><p>Mcisme - Unrest</p>

I'm kind of annoyed by these collections as well, I'm missing one piece from the moon gems and I even checked every server during the free server transfer period -- it seems like nobody has an unused one.  Is this just going to rot in my collection journal forever?  The sun gem one gave me a choice from some really crappy t6 armor pieces, so it's not like it was too powerful a collection. It would be really nice to hear why these collections are so strange and have only been discovered on a few servers to begin with, and on entirely different days and months!

I've collected every non-book collection in the game except the sun and moon beads. I've never heard of them ever once existing on Kithicor.

<p>From what I've picked up, there were only a few servers (all of my toons are on Unrest) that had these shinies spawning in Sinking Sands. A friend and I were out around midnight-3am and we were gathering them up where the giants roam. After hording a ton of the sun/moon collections, the zone "crashed" and we got booted to character select. We couldn't log back on the toons that were in Sinking Sands, but we were able to log on our other toons that are in other zones on Unrest server. After a bit of time, we were able to log back in on our Sinking Sands toons, and all the sun/moon collections were gone. I was able to do 2 full sun/moons on my main, and able to only do 1 turn in on an alt (short 1 piece for the moon). I had heard these collections were eventually put back in game, but I've not gone looking in Sinking Sands for any more. The rewards were something like a ring and neck item. The stats were kinda "eh" on the rewards.</p><p>I'm not sure about the akhet collections, but I'm going to guess that they have a similar story like the sun/moon ones.</p>

i made quite some plats to  spending the first days of DoF to run all around SS and PoF , collecting and collecting. Not only got some items discos and some collection reward discos , but selling the rares or uncommon shinies  was pretty good. Not as rich as the OP, but happy to make 50+ plats in two weeks with just collect items . That and the pleasure to pop discos <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />

<p>I just did a search on Eq2players. Technically, only 2 servers have ever discovered the Akhet collection, and only 4 servers discovered teh Moon and Sun collection quests.</p><p>Unrest, Innovation, Crushbone, and Oasis. These collection quests never existed on any other server.</p>

<p>How long sgo were these in the game?</p><p>Maybe it will be a special once a year thing, or once every two years or something (doubt it).</p>
