I've looked at my swashy spells and I don't see anything about faking death, but one fight where I got "killed" at L20ish while soloing, I was on the ground for a while, but no revive screen came up.... then a minute later, i got up and walked away. am i just not reading the spell descriptions right?

When you hit 0 health you become unconscious and at a certain negative value (I believe this varies), you actually die. Some classes may get options to increase that negative value (I think the Shadowknights have an achievement power that does that). Based on your description, I'd guess you fell unconscious. I've done that a few times and hoped the DoT's on me would drop before I hit good old -142 or whatever my death point was!

were you grouped with a shadow knight by any chance?

if not.. then the unconcious thing sounds right.

I have accually fallen Uncontious(your Health bar turns a Pale Blue) seen the mob I was fighting die from a DoT tick and then gotten back up. I also can't count the number of times I have Duoed and been saved from Death after falling Uncontiouse, and then receaving a heal at the last min. Uncontiousness can also sometimes be anoying when you are fighting an heroic(that is near grey) encounter with like 12 enemies in it, but wich you have killed like 10 of them, the other 2 just can't seem to do enough damage to accually "Kill" you for like 30 sec or so.
