I play on a PvE server and want to roll a new solo alt.

With all the game updates, nerfs, and changes to AA lines I'd just like to get some quick views from people on the pros/cons of a Bruiser over a Monk for solo.

Would you say that a Bruiser would be better for soloing than a Monkr?

What makes them better/worse than a Monk for soloing?

Bruiser has a self heal that's on twice as fast a recast timer than Monk. Bruiser has a Mez along with their Fear in case you need to handle adds. Bruisers have more stuns, while monks have more stifles. While the stifles last longer, stuns stop ALL attacks happening.. and only casters are really high damage on stifle appropriate skills. Bruisers have twice the damage on their CAs but twice as long recast and power. Overall, if the Monk spends over 30s fighting he will catch up to the Bruiser, but since soloing is all about killing mobs down before they can hurt you back, Bruiser's burst damage capability is far more useful here. Our 65 Ancient ability (Knockout Combination) just enforces the burst damage capability even further. So overall Monk and Bruiser are fairly close, but Bruiser is a lot more self-interest and burst, thus making them better for soloing.
