Could someone explain this to me please as I have a few questions :-

1. Where do you start transmuting please ? Is there a trainer or someone you need to speak to.

2. What stuff can be transmuted, I assume it is jewelery as transmuting a bat ear would be a bit nasty ?

3. Are the items that can be transmuted a certain type i.e player crafted, legendary etc or can trash items be done ?

4. A player gave me some powder which he said was a transmuted item, what am I supposed to do with it; I am assuming that it is something to do with the adornment process ?

5. Any info on making adornments, and equiping them to an item (if this can be done would be great)

Sorry if this has already been asked but cannot find any useful info on this

There are trainers spotted about in EoF - some in Kelethin, some on ButcherBlock Docks, probably some in The Gnome Security HQ in Steamfont.

Treasured items or higher stuff like legendary, fabled

See point 2, so no, not vendor trash, not player made stuff either (well, maybe mastercrafted stuff, not sure)

The powder is one of the ingredients needed for making adornments.

There are recipe books called 'Enigma of the Provisioner* Volume 1**' where *- there are books for all crafting classes, **- there are volumes 1 to 7 (ie one for each tier) for each crafting type. These can be scribed just like normal crafting recipe books and will tell you the ingredients needed. Not sure how to adorn an adornment to an item, havent done it yet, but yes thats what youre supposed to do.

Notes: your transmuting skill level is capped by your primary crafter level, so if youre a level 15 weaponsmith for instance the highest in transmuting you get would be level 15 (or skill level 75 (5x15)), you can start doing either transmuting or tinkering once your primary tradeskill has got to level 10.

If you're new to crafting I would take a look at some of the crafting guides: http://forums.station.sony.com/eq2/...topic_id=347090 There's a link to a transmuting FAQ too: http://eq2.allakhazam.com/db/guides.html?guide=972 (got the jump on Calthine!) Othesus - Dirge - Lucan DLere Vaspar - Fury - Lucan DLere

Actually you can now get transmuting with a level 1 Artisan. You won't get too far since you can only level it to 5, but you can get it early on. I actually did it two nights ago.
