Level 52 Adventurer, and 260 Tinkering skill required to equip. If you have a + tinkering item, that can give you artificial points to let you use it early.

Interesting. Now I understand some of the other posts I have seen where people questioned the whole tinker only/commission thing under statements similar to "why would I have a tinkerer commission it for me if I am a tinkerer". Now I get those statements. It kinda doesnt make sense to be a tinkerer of the same approximate level (20 point difference isnt vast) and have someone commission an object you should be able to make yourself.

Thanks for the insight.

They probably wouldn't be traded anyway. Working on my tinkering recently, I'm also highly baffled why some items are No Trade (the low level vision glasses, for example, or the fun springy boots) and others aren't (i.e. why are the fluff spring boots no trade but the more useful parachute-like things aren't). Also, so far I've been able to sacrifice all my tinkered stuff (I craft in my house, it's easier and I like it *chuckle*) except the rose colored goggles. No discernable reason why they should be different. Heck, for once vision glasses I can make weren't No Trade. I'll admit that it's taken me this long to get into working up my tinkering skill because I agree that it's mostly broken and Rijacki is a tinkerer for the RP aspect and not what she can do/make (she wants to use the toys, too, but not the primary reason). I've also gotten some of the higher level rare recipes as my own drops and gifts lately, so I need to get to a point of making them *chuckle*
