How much AA points should a character have to be on par? Level +5? Level +10? What is reasonable. I have a level 18 wizzy and I only have about 9 AA right now. I read on the forums that people have like +10 their levels. I am doing something wrong or are those people playing alts for their 5th time and know a lot about the game and gain these faster than I new player? Thanks in advance.

Level 18 and 9 Achievements points sound right It's hard to say what is right, since it depend on how you play. Achievements you mainly get by doing quest. Some are level locking to get more in the lower levels, but personally I never liked that. I need to feel a bit progress in the normal levels too. I got about 1 or 2 per level, and sometime more and sometime less. My achievement level did reach my adventure level in the 50's, and for my main I had about 85-90 when I got to level 70. I never level locked or mentored down for extra achievement points.

As Creug said above.

And, also, you gain levels so fast under 30 that your AA's don't really have a chance to catch up unless you level lock. When you get to 40's and 50's your AA's should catch up...as long as you are doing things that give AA xp like killing names and quests or course.

I started levelling my Brigand after KoS but before EoF. So I didn't start getting AA's until he was level 20. Right now I am sitting at level 64 with 78 AA's. I would probably have more if I went on a few more name hunts. But hadn't had time in a while to go on many instance runs.

My first toon gained 1 AA per level until I hit level 30 - so had 20 AA at level 30. from there it started getting to a little more than 1 per level, until in the late 50s i get about 2.5 AA per level. There are ways to get much more (like my swash is level 26 with 31 AA), but if your working on your first toon, don't worry so much about that now - while it is fun to have lots of AA at lower levels, you will catch up as you level past 40.

Don't worry too much about your AA being "on par" There is enough content in the end game to get all 100 AA there if you want. Or you can go back and get other stuff you missed on the way up by mentoring.

I hit 100aa about 4 days ago on my 65 brigand. I wasn't really tryin to focus on AA, I just did a lot of quests when i didn't have a group and I killed a lot of names and explored new areas when i did have a group.

If you don't simply grind mobs and either dungeon crawl or quest you will get lots and lots of AA. When you dungeon crawl you only get AA for the first time you kill something, after that it's just for loot. I like to explore as many new places as I can.

There is no rule of thumb since it differs with your play style. If you grind XP then you will probably have more levels than achievement (to a point) or if you are like me and have combat XP locked indefinitely than you will have much more achivement points than you do levels.
