Hi all, I've been looking into the Shadowknight level 52 armor (i'm currently 49) and I'm not sure what to get. Cobalt Vanguard has Str, Sta, Agi which helps for avoidance, and Cobalt Devout has Str, Sta, and Int which helps to increase the mana pool. My question is: which would be the best armor for a 52 SK? Full Devout, Full Vanguard, or is a mix between Devout and Vanguard the way to go? Thanks for any input!

Personally i went vanguard BP and Legs .. because of the procs .. and also shoulders because of same look, the rest devout.

I was thinking the same thing. The Devout armor graphic looks pretty lame compared to the Vanguard. I'll probably go the same route as you.

the procs on vanguard are overrated stick with Devout you need every bit of STR and INT you can get.

Being amazingly vain, I would go full Vanguard with pearl jewelery, because t6 devout is hideous. Despite what some people say, it really doesn't matter.

Do what I do a lot. Buy pieces that can't be seen (Helmet with graphic turned off, boots, bracers) of devout or whichever set you do not like the look of and the visible pieces buy the set you like how it looks.

Usually I go full devout though since STR, STA, INT are our most important stats, but you don't want to really ignore any stats either though. Some of the Devout sets are hideous and bland.

I would do Vanguard chest, legs, shoulders, gloves, but plate feet, bracer's, and head. Or, the same mix, but with devout in place of the plate. In the end it is what you prefer. Devout is great, but if you're not a fan of the look. You can still go Vanguard. Mix it right and still be set as if you had on Devout.

I how Cobalt Devout looks on my Iksar. Its one of few helm graphics that don't end up looking like im wearing a school lunchbox with doorknob on top (REALLY HATES THE DOORKNOB)

Full Vanguard and Int Jewelry/Weapons (like a scythe or scimitar). Really doesn't matter... it will all balance out whether you picked devout and str jewelry instead...

I'd prefer the Vanguard.

I tried vanguard once...and I held aggro a lot less and went back to devout. That was a long time ago, though, and I've since replaced much of what I have with various EoF pieces. Just some food for thought there.

As for looks, plate gets the short end of the stick in most cases I think.

Which is probably why they have avoided orange armor like the plague hehe

Cobalt Devout is *really* ugly. You'll look like a centipede. I can hardly stand to play my Paladin who wears it anylonger just because of the way he looks in it.

I disagree I enjoy the look and how the helmet actually shows my face. and the purple color goes well with my green stripes.
