So I've reached 52. I did 51 and 52 in two days of casual [Removed for Content]-kicking. Having ice comet, with ball of incineration, and manaburn to boot is like pure bliss, and well worth the earlier deaths in my newbie-dom. The AGI tree has treated me VERY well....I am sending nasty stuff out there quicker. I grouped in Klak'Anon at level 45, in a full group where the next lowest was 52, and I parsed solidly 3rd. That is with me being SEVEN levels lower than anyone else. Absolutely awesome. I can mez, and root, and stun, and nuke HARD. I can take on groups, and can teleport around making travelling immeasurably faster. My evac and I are good friends. What a great class. Sure, I'll go down quick in a fist-fight, but that's not really an issue. Resists are still a part of keeping me on my toes, but they are FAAAAARRRR better than earlier in my career. I eat heroics for breakfast, and LOVE running into named mobs. I rarely need help, and it's usually because my objective is in an area with multiple heroics and no resting-area. I am looking forward in a couple of levels of FINALLY seeing the KoS content for the very first time, even though I bought the expansion when it launched. What a great class. I am completely happy with it. -Morticandarius Rathbourne of Mistmoore still needs a sig.

<p>I dunno, in the past I'd been generally happy with the class but recently, doing EoF raid content in a raid full of decked out players with skill, we simply can't hang w/ predators and even warlocks. In fact, I'd put us on par (barely) with summoners and rogues. It's incredibly frustrating being destroyed on the parse. I know some here will say there's nothing wrong and say I'm not playing the class right but sorry, I have a firm grasp on using my skills in the most efficient way possible, have pretty much full fabled (1/2 KoS, 1/2 EoF), mastered out, tried both Agi/Wis and Agi/Str recently, etc. I top out at around 1800 for single target in a usual group (troub, sometimes fury, sometimes coercer). Meanwhile the assassins, necros, warlocks are anywhere from 2300-2800 average. </p><p>There was simply no logical reason for the Brainstorm nerf, fusion needs a larger radius w/o spending AA points on it, and our casting speed needs a hike on top of the Agi tree bonus. We can't all have time compression on us, in fact any raid that wastes it on a wiz isn't putting it to best use. </p><p>Sorry to be a downer, i'm just a lil frustrated today. Please save the suggestions, I've read just about every tactics thread on here and gave everything a try, I'm convinced i'm doing as much dps as i'm capable of. </p>

Ah yes, It's great when you get one of those spells that represent a turning point in the class, isn't it? <img src="/smilies/283a16da79f3aa23fe1025c96295f04f.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> The first time you use Ice Comet (or later on, Fusion), is one of those points where you just look at the damage numbers and say to yourself, "I. Am. God!"

We're definitely not broken. And TC is will benefit a Wizard in a majority of the encounters in this game (Warlocks should get it for AoE DPS, like Avatar/CMayong adds, etc.)

I read that initially as you reached 52 in two days of casual play... I tried a few different classes in beta.. but went with a wizzy come release to group with my wife (a defiler) and have never regretted one moment of it... wizzies do rock and those turning point spells growing up.. yeah they were awesome to get. <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />

I'm quite dismayed that summoners parse so high on the raid dps.  This is not balanced in my opinion, since they are the best soloers in the game, they should not also be that good for raid groups.
