Hey friendly EQ2'ers, I left the game a while back but just recently decided to come back. I got the new expansion pack, but I'd prefer to keep playing my old character, a level 50 Templar. So I've been exploring the new EoF lands with my Templar, and haven't found much that he can solo. Then again, he can't solo worth crap anyway

For me, EQ2 was always about grouping, so obviously I need to find a group! Small problem: the dungeons I used to know are all empty. Where do the level 50s hang out these days?

Thanks!

A good place would be Steamfont. In the center of the zone at the top of a climbable wall is the security headquarters. Good Solo questline that should be green/blue at your level and rewards are good. Klak and MoM are right there in the zone for when you want to group.

At 50 you'll be finding groups in Sinking Sands doing things like the Hidden Cache and the Sanctorium, perhaps the Vaults of Dust in the Clefts of Rujark as well. You'll also find a lot of groups going in to Klak'Anon and the Mines of Meldrath from Steamfont as well.

The quests in Steamfont begin at level 35, so the 1st several will be gray to you until they get up to the level 40 ones, but that doesn't take long. Lesser Faydark is a zone designed for 50+ and has some decent solo quest lines as well.

You can probably still find the occasional Permafrost group too -- at 50 you're not too high for there yet either.

I would suggest that you join a guild, so that you have built-in social network with which to find groups.
