<p>I was reading about the DW changes on the test forums and saw someone post:</p><p>"As it is now on test, seems Main Hand, Off Hand and ranged weapon are all slowed down when dual wielding. 1.9, 1.6 and 7 delays would become 2.5, 2.1 and 9.3. Just the way it is now, might or might not change."</p><p>This seems a little brutal, given all the recent nerfs to ranged attacks.  Is there a Ranger on test that can validate whether or not it's true?  I don't want to start another "sky is falling" thread, I just want to know so I'll be prepared.  I'm also not sure why having two sheathed weapons would slow down our ability to shoot arrows by 33%.  If the excuse for melee not proc'ing from ranged is that we don't shoot swords from our bows, I'd think that would apply here as well. </p>

<p>It is true. Currently on Test, using 2 weapons will slow those and your bow considerably. Using a second weapon slows my bow by about 2 seconds. Kirstie said it was a bug and slated to be fixxed about a week and a half ago. But it hasn't yet. GM and QA posts and direct interaction have come to a halt on our Testers Only board and in game also, so your guess is as good as mine as to just what is going on. Wish I could help.</p><p>Brega - 70 Ranger, Test Server.</p>

Oh god, they don't want to make it permanent, do they?

So if I read this correctly, dual weieding two melee weapons will slow the delay on our bows.  But, wielding a sword and board won't?  That doesn't make any sense to me.  Or, am I having a dropped on my head flashback?

Did I miss something? I didnt see where it was said that they were going to make this permanent, maybe I just missed it in the link? Estimating that GU38 in still a 1.5 months away theres plenty of time to get this bug resolved. I'll give it more time before I start calling for anyone.

It's not a bug. There are some good folks on test to keep us informed of the changes as they take place. But as of right now, this seems to be the case. Hopefully there is alot of feedback being received. I hate for us to do nothing while waiting for the devs to change this all on their own without input. That's would be the worst thing we could do IMO.

That is a bug I fixed awhile back but it hasn't made it to test server as of yet.  They should be getting it relatively soon.  However, there is no need to freak out because its just an oversight and not something that will affect the delay of your ranged weapons <img src="/smilies/8a80c6485cd926be453217d59a84a888.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />
