Rather than dig up old posts, Im going to start a new one.

I know there is a lot of debate about whether or not the current broker system with the single character brokering is an acceptably functionable system, so I am prepared to get flamed to pieces over this.

HOWEVER, here are my thoughts on the issue.

Aside from all the other arguements about space, time, cost, inconvinence, lack of explaination about the brokering system ... single character brokering deminishes the feel of character independence. I agree with some of the other points that are argued on this subject, but the lack of independence is what really gets me. I really do not like the idea that character A is my seller and characters B-G have to send they're crafted/looted items to character A who then has to sort out who sent them what and how much its worth so when those items sell on the broker A has to then figure out how much to send to each character so they can all have cash flow. It became so tedious that I finally started just sending all of my characters 20g a weak for expenses and use A to buy all their armor and do all the harvesting blah blah. Essentially, the current brokering system has FORCED me to have to turn my account into one main character and a bunch of alts that get ignored.

I really like the idea of my characters being their own person, having their own lives.

I think that shared banks should be removed from the banking system and instead the current house vault slots that increase in number depending on the size of the house should be sharable to trustees of your house, and a place to store coin in your house vault should be added. This technically would increase the potential for shared slots on your account as well as allowing you the option to make those shared slots available to other accounts (or not) and if you roleplay, you could still keep those shared slots unavilable to characters on your account with differing faction allignments, of you could add them to the trustees list and hope they can make it pass the guards. With 7 characters and a base of 2 house vault slots each, you are actually increasing your base potential shared slots by more than twice what it is now from 6 to 14 and the potential for more. It makes more sense to me that I would allow trusted friends (my other characters or family/friends characters) to drop stuff off and pick stuff up from my house than to allow ANYONE access to my bank. I also think that if this were the case, LORE item restrictions on shared slots should be removed.

To me, the current system works fine, slight hassle in some ways, and nothing game breaking, but I would much rather perfer a system that allowed my characters independence so I wasnt constantly reminded that all the characters on my account are one entity.

it used to be stacks of 20, so I wouldn't complain.

I appreciate the fact that each of my characters can live their own separate lives in their own rooms and skill sets, but I personally would like the 8 shared, cross-city bank slots. Maybe all my characters really like each other and decided to open a joint bank account. *shrugs*
