Picking class...Difficult...Help?

I bought EQ2  two days ago and I cant decide which class to choose.  Can anyone help.  I want a class that does a massive amount of damage/ nuking!!!!, has cool more offensive (not defensive) spells/abilities, im not a melee type of person, and I also want a class that not a lot of people are playing.... Like I know a wizard is probably a class that fits my description but there are just to many of them.

Yea wizard is perfect for you now one thing you have to realize is that the world is HUGE there might be 70 wizards online at the time but none are going to be around you in most cases. play what you think is the most fun.  Warlock isn't a bad choice either much rarer than wizard but is more focused in AoE damage and DoT's.  You could also try a conjuror which does big blast of damage and gets a pet too.  Welcome to the game and good luck!

<p>Wizard is definately what you describe, but warlock and conjuror are options.</p><p>Conjuror gets nukes, and they eventually can get a mage pet that also nukes.</p><p>Warlock is best AoE damage in the game, nobody will even attempt to argue the point, but there are sometimes aggro issues when fighting multiple mobs.</p>

ghepeto, I would definately recommend a conjurer or a warlock.  Personally, I love my conjurer.  He is great at soloing and has lots of variability in his playstyle.
