Fellow Assassin need help relearning my skills.

<p>Hey all, </p><p>So I have just re-activated my account; last time I played was in 2005. This being the case I totally forget how to use my skills in combat. I used to be able to fire off my skills in a certain way that would kill my foe pretty quick. It went something like this:</p><p>Use range bow attacks till mob closed in/ fire of DoT skills/ Stun / Flank and use skill that does dmg and puts my into stealth/ fire off a stealth attack/fire off some other out of stealth skills/use some skill that puts me back in stealth/ Steath attack skill/ reapeat sequence.</p><p>Well I can't seem to do this anymore can anyone share with me their combat sequence when they are soloing and when they are in group. BTW I'm a lvl 51 Ratonga.</p><p>Cheers</p>

<p>I feel yah.  No one answers mine on this board either.  I'm just a level 9, otherwise I'd help you.</p><p>A lot of people here seem to stealth>big stealth hit, bleed, HO, cheap shot, run around & shroud attack, then stealth hit again, etc.  I don't really know the other skills too well, but basically people do a lot of stealth attacks (stealthing between the mobs attacks) and poisons.  STR/INT is a popular KoS AA for DPS.</p>

Not a lot of us have been lower level in quite some time.  At least for me, I'm reluctant to help on lower levels because I just don't know if its even accurate information anymore. From what I remember the little bit of soloing I did in the 50s was in Pillars of Flame quests.  When doing those, for single mobs I'd do my best to get the biggest stealth attack off possible.  Prior to combat, I'd cast all my temporary buffs like the level 35 haste buff.  Then I'd stealth and hit them with the biggest hit possible.  I remember mostly fighting in offensive and using the vampiric (health steal) red poison. I only used bow attacks & kiting if it was a really hard mob.  I never used bows in groups.

Never was a low level assassin. But starting with a huge stealth attack is always a good idea. Use your stifles, roots, stuns, etc. well. Always use the correct poisons if you're soloing anything difficult.

master vitality breach i like, with the crits it gives a nice health back when soloing.  Havent seen a real benefit to  slow attack poison . But rooting and firing away with a good bow help ,too bad it's breaking faster on heroics :/

<p>well heres my 2 cents....in response to soloing pve mobs[also works in pvp with some adjustments..depending on class ur fighting against.]</p><p>im lvl 70 assassin in fabled gear [adornments for defensive and stamina] and all end game masters.</p><p>8300 health[8800 with potion] 60% avoidance in defensive with dual wield [or 63.5% with shield]</p><p>i use chest piece el"lipsises[cant spell] from varsoons in some cases, have heal potions and etc on hotbar.if its a very hard encounter.</p><p>poisons ... vitality breach, stupdifying,enfeebling</p><p>assassin aa line...cheapshot stifle root cripple repeated stabbing. excessive bleeding[ with max dot damage] and deft defense maxed[0 penalties in defensive stance]</p><p>predator aa line ... str line[max out parry and crit] last one [name?] and stamina line[max out sta and health] and impenetrable[100% parry for 12 secs] note: 4th one in stamina line is more trouble then its worth...especially in pvp [not needed to get impenetrable if u got enough points in others]</p><p>i stated the way i have my set up so that u may better understand my attack order when soloing mobs. i can beat ALL names in forsaken city [below mystic lake] 61^^^ to 68^^^ names ,also i kill most any other name 70 or lower.</p><p>basically i usually have to body pull in stealth most times when engaging names. so i usually dont get an arrow attack off. if i can i always try to get extra damage in with arrow attacks.</p><p>attack order as follows: pre pull....[honed reflexes,deadly focus,exacting]...pull:</p><p>snare ,constriction,malignant mark,dot ,dot,dot, concealment ,stun ,root ,stifle,killing blade,decap[if needed] puncture blade, inpenetrable[100% parry 12 secs] stun, masked attack ,evisorate , constriction, snare ,dot, dot, contrived weapon, stun cripple stike,finishing blow.</p><p>in some cases i use [stun,concealment and others ^] first then [snare and dots^],then impenetrable and etc.</p><p>also, i always use stun, concealment, root, then stealth attacks....in order to have an unbroken chain of stealth attacks.</p><p>against 2 mobs....i hit one with root and back away to engage other...helps reduce damage and helps makes my stealth attacks from being interuped. note:when using this u need to switch targets fast or u may auto attack the rooted mob and break it.[seems root breaks right away when auto attacks go off]</p><p>also if u dont have the aa lines like i do or not able to...then as someone said before rooting and using bow attacks in replacement for the impenetrable aa is good idea.</p><p>hope it helps....<img src="/smilies/283a16da79f3aa23fe1025c96295f04f.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></p><p>SOULHUNTER , vox</p><p>.p.s. this set up i use is more for pvp and soloing pve...lol or mting pve when tank not around.</p><p> in raids u will lose some dps but as an assassin it could also prove valueable having impenetrable [pulling mob or taking aggro if mt drops] but it rarely is needed. also having a higher then avg health helps in raid too. if in mt group i can get my health in excess of 14 k.</p>
