Hey guys, I play a wizzy as main and I love it. I am sucker for spell effects and EQ2 has really cool spell effects. When I play MMO's I usally pick casters as my mains just for that reason and the normally high DPS is always fun. I am now starting an alt and wonder if you had any suggestions what to play as an alt for a wizard loving gamer. It doesn't have to be a caster, I am willing to try something else out, but I would LOVE if it had cool effects, animations and stuff. Solo ability is important also, but must classes can solo pretty well these days I guess. Any help is appreciated Cheers

I went Warden. I still get to do some nuking but I am alot harder to kill (Mit and healing self) and have alot of cool ablities; especially as a Fae. Love being able to run/glide around at +65% without a mount with Jboots. Still have evac and have portals.

I have tried most other classes for alts, but the only one to make it to 70 was my illy, he is a blast to play and requires fast thinking to max out dps and not just a good spell order. I would say once you max out the KoS agi line for the Illy your longest spells take like maybe 2 seconds, not only that but you can really make or break a bad group have good dps, but when needed use the pause button. Soloing you have better survivability as you can mez an add and deal with it later. Also casting 4 spells in the time it takes to cast ice nova is crazy.

I actually tried and Illy before you wrote this and while I liked it a lot the spell sounds were a bit weird but maybe you get used to it though It's only level 10 atm but it was a test to see how it played. Btw, which is the most intense and fun melee class to play? Any ideas?
