I believe RoK is going to raise the guild level cap again. My question is whether guild status earned for members of a currently level 60 guild will be wasted between now and the RoK release, or if all the status will be applied when RoK goes live. Anyone know?

most likely yes, just like any HQs/quests completed prior to KoS were wasted Achievement Point opportunities.

Ofcourse it will start from scratch. Othwerwise there would be lvl80 guilds when it comes live.

Yup, my guild is stocking up on all the Status Items and holding off on doing any HQ's until RoK's release.

Yeah, just get your HQs ready for turn in and stock up on the status items. If everyone in your guild does that, you could gain 1 or 2 levels right off the bat.

If you play on a pvp server just pvp a lot and the guild levels will fly by.

uilamin you forget, us exiles dont get status from pvp!!!

but on vox our guild has grinded to 60 two times now, once as Q and now as exile, so it does not take long, and it wont take much to get 10 more

Actually, HQs are rather inefficient as a means of getting guild level up. Your average HQ gives about 2-4k guild status, and takes at least a few hours to complete, sometimes more if there are camps involved. T8 writs will likely give between 900 and 1000 points of status each, so getting 4 writs will give between 3600-4000 points of status. If you've got a full group doing writs, that's about 24k guild status. With the right classes, writs can be churned out in about a half hour for each set, including travel too and from the writ giver. In the time it takes to complete the average HQ, a group could completes many more sets of writs. Raids are also a good way to get status. The guild raids have 2 status-giving encounters in each raid, and each one can be knocked out in about a half hour, if that. Courts of Al'Afaz is another good raid to farm for status, although it will eventually grey out unless you mentor.

This was mentioned by someone around the time ROK got announced. They dont want people to get level 80 on day 1 like some ppl got level 60 guilds on day 1. Not sure how they changes will happen - posibly along the lines of gaining staus when looting rather than turning in - or pehaps only newly looted items

Cheers

That is, there might be other tasks to accomplish, perhaps for each level or perhaps only for the levels that unlock new perks, like 70 and 80.
