Currently the Guild Ranks are sent to be updated as characters log in thus if you change someone's rank right now it won't display correctly on EQ2Players unless that character logs in. Doesn't mean it will not be changed at a later time though. Hope that helps a little bit...

I think that Gninja's post elsewhere on this forum confirms what many of us feared. Basically, unless your entire roster is regularly logging in their complete alt collection then roster reporting via EQ2Players, or by other programs utilising the EQ2Players database (such as Roster Master), will NOT be correct and will NOT correlate with the ingame roster structure.

In other words ongoing guilds will not see too much of a problem. However, should they change their structure in any way then the roster reports on EQ2Players and Roster Master will be completely meaningless untill all members have logged in all their alts. Inactive members will continue to screw up the reporting as long as they are retained on the roster. This leaves the only remedy at present to be kicking inactive members and allowing them to rejoin when they reappear in game.

I think that we need to voice our wishes that this be changed in the near future so that the reporting database ties up with the ingame db.

I remember several people having this problem before. If that is the case, then it won't even help to kick them, because they will still be attached to the guild until they log in again.
