Hey. First off, I hope I'm in the correct forum for this question. I'm trying to get from Kelethin to the Commonlands. Long hike I know. Is there a map somewhere that can direct me. Or does anyone have the time to type out a clear route. I'd really appreciate any help Thanks.

A lot depends on your level, whether it is safe or not. But the route you want is to go to Butherblock mts. Cross BBM by staying on the path as much as possible, you will have to go up a slope part way from begining entrance. There are goblins there. and it is a switchback kind of path up hill. Next you will come to the Dwarves Irontoes fortress, this is East I belive, anyway there is a tunnel you go through to the other Irontoes fortress, make your way accross the land, using the paths, to the cliffs and the ocean below. If you are a fae you can jump down and not die to the beach below. If you do not want to jump, then go along wall to left (as you face the wall area) til you reach the path down to the Harbor.

Once you are in the harbour, you can take a boat to the Nek Forest Docks, on the far left side of harbour. From there go out into the forest, pretty much straight accross from the end of the docks. Follow pathways again. Go to the right along path and continue until you reach Commonlands gate. The path winds and turns but eventually you will get there.

Now if you are a low level and you do not have invisable capabilites it is a rough journey. I hope this helps you get to where you need to go. The commonlands is a very big place to travel, do you know where you need to get to there?

Wow! Thanks Isisalthea. You went to a lot of trouble there. I really appreciate it. I'm trying to get to Valmaar's Ruins. Someone on line told me it was a good place for me and my bud to go to pick up a lot of xp and good loot. I'm a level 15 fae warden and my friends a level 15 half elf guardian. We've got a lot of heart. LOL! Thanks again

Maybe you will have some good use for ingame maps, they also show Points of Interests (PoIs). Link to download them: http://maps.eq2interface.com/map.php - best to choose the autoupdating version. Ruins of Val'Mar are to find if you type: " /waypoint 399, -48, 326 " while being inside Commonlands, its at the south part of the zone. From outside Nektulos Forest best take the griffon to Hidden Canyon Station, that will be near Ruins.

Another tip for you:

Make sure that you and your friend try to gather from the bushes at the Druid rings in Greater Faydark, Butcherblock Mountains, Commonlands and Antonica - that way, if you need to return to those places, you can ask a druid to open a portal to those places. Of course, as a Warden, you will also get the portal capability when you reach level 25, so you'll be able to port yourself! Eventually, you can also harvest at the druid ring in Steamfont Mountains, but there's no need yet.

When you get to Commonlands, if you have the Kingdom of Sky (KoS) expansion, you can use the spires in CL to go to the Tenebrous Tangle. When you get there, you can click on the portal to return, but can choose either Commonlands OR Antonica; this way you can get to Antonica a lot quicker than the old way (running through two other zones for 25 minutes! Once you get to Antonica via TT, the Antonica Druid Ring is just East of the spires. Of course, after you've harvested from the ring, you can pop back up to TT to get back to CL.

Good luck!

EDIT: Fixed Typo.

I think there's tons of wonderful places to visit in this game and it's definately worthwhile to see as much as you can.

That being said....If you want the best exp and loot for your level you will likely want to be questing. If grinding mobs in an area is what you really want, you'll find better experience and loot in Echoes of Faydwer areas.
