I am returning after being away for 1.5 years. I have a vague memory of their being an optional character customization options that you could download. So there was the original character options and the pack you download for another look. Now I cannot seem to find this anymore. Was it removed or did I just dream up the whole thing? Thanks in advance, //Nin

That is what I thought as well. However, there is no such option. Under preferences I have the following alternatives: Additional live content Adventure pack #1 Adventure pack #2 Adventure pack #3 Optional Audio packs City Ecology Quest NPCs Combat voice overs That is all. No alternate models. I really liked the alternate models and would love to get them back. Please assist in helping me find them. Oh, it almost like a quest.. Cheers, //Nin

They were included as an optional download. So if you have "additional live game content" checked in preferences, you will download them.

After you check that, then go to the character creation screen, select options at the bottom, once there find the button for "alternate models". Then check the box to show them. That will allow you to create your character in the SOGA models.

Also, if you are twitchy about how people see you in game don't forget to customize your character in normal models as well (there is a button for that after you create your character), else you may end up looking pretty messed up to those of us who use the standard models =).

If you go to your character select screen and bring the options screen up, I believe theres a section in there where you can say which of the alternate models you want. You may have to relog after changing your options though to force it to download the ones you decided you wanted though - not sure, I changed mine so long ago.

Note: this is from memory from a long time ago, so may be completely wrong, but it wont take long just to check

But yes I think you have to have the 'additional content' checkbox checked in the preferences bit.

One thing you might not realize - the alternate models are not necessarily how others see you. If they do not enable them, they will see you in normal appearance. Every time I roll a new toon I usually forget to set SOGA appearance for several days, and often cringe when I remember to do it and see how those who enable SOGA have been seeing me.
