Chat window won't stay up

About a month ago on some of my toons including my main, the caht window started disappearing every time I relog and I won't get it back 'til I type"/". I have so far been unable to figure out why. A minor annoyance, but it does cause me to miss anything said until I type "/". Anyone know how to get it back? Lol tired of people saying "I said Hi, why are you ignoring me"

<p>Had the same problem. And it would stick to a certain character and not affect another.</p><p>But then it would start up with the other character. Proabably a UI problem in the game directory.</p><p>Didn't know you had to "/" to get it to appear. Will try that.</p><p>I could get it back sometimes - by madly hitting every key on my keyboard until it suddenly appeared.</p>

But I have a similar problem, it just seems the opposite <img src="http://forums.station.sony.com/eq2/images/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" width="15" height="15" />I have 2 chat windows. But every time I log in I have to switch 'always chat here' on one of them on, else if I press enter a THIRD chat window appears.</p>

I believe if you used the load_uisettings from a char from the opposite faction (say evil) then your good char is trying to join an evil channel which causes this bug. Check the channels you belong to, if you are in one that you are not allowed to be in, remove it and see it if still does it.Hope this helps.

Drag whatever window you want as "chat here" onto the 3rd window. This will add all the tabs from window 1 ontop window 3 as well as having a tab for window 3. Now remove the tab for window 3 and move things back to how you want them. Note - This will cause the window to bug out on entering the game and you will need to hit "enter" to get the window to show up. Really you already have this problem, but the hidden window is a window you dont want anyway. As far as this being caused from a chat channel you cannot join, I know that is not the reason this is happening with my character. Since the character with the issue is my main and have never used the command with that character.

Not sure what it is, but I discoverd although I'm a guardian I seem to have the Good_conjuror option in my channellist. This was my first char on my account so its strange but it looks like its connected in some way with channels you cant join.
