It looks very exciting. I just hope those Droags living in Kunark are huge. I'll be so disappointed if the Sarnak are the height of Ratonga

These new Sarnak have been exiled from thier main race. The video makes it seem like they werne't outcast from society... Just seperated and trying to reintegrate.

Check it out. Same posture and design as the Sarnaks that we know and mostly love. No closeups of thier heads yet though.

Chardok. (The NPC Sarnak there is huge because he's moving into the camera of the player.

Better size comparison. Player is running, Sarnak NPC is just walking.

They're building the outdoor zones so huge, that he says we'll see 2 or 3 different distinct zones and areas without ever hitting a zoning screen. This must mean that sections of one outdoor zone will look completely different from each other, as if you zoned from Barren Sky to Bonemire just by traveling the physical distance between them.

Droags have moved in with the dragons. No surprise there.

Raid mobs and boss fights with the added danger of falling into lava.

A little blurry headshot there. Horns are still there anyway.

Silverwing, Nexona, and all the others are still here.

Sebilis, the new Iksar city. The guy said either Sebilis, or Cabilis was just completely smashed by a huge chunk of Luclin, larger than anything we've seen in the game so far. I would imagine he means Cabilis.

Dynamic combat music that changes as the tide of battle turns.

Raid Instances are being split up into instanced segments. He uses Emerald Halls as an example. Imagine clearing the first stage of the zone, then zoning out, then comming back in another instance ready to start the 2nd platform/area.

I really like the way the Sarnak look and I like the way their starting area looks. So far I must say this is the coolest looking expansion... gotta love the part outside of Sebilis where all the Iksar guards are standing there.

I must say if they do half the stuff he mentioned the game would definally be worth coming back. I've been playing EQ2 off and on since beta. I've been through the good, the bad, and the ugly. Everquest, either EQlive or EQ2 will always be a part of me since i fell in love with EQlive sometime right after Kunark was released in EQlive.

That dymanic combat music thing sounds interesting. I never did like the combat music in this game because like he said in the video, its the same [Removed for Content] thing over and over but music they changes based on whats happening in the fight sounds intriguing.

Although i will miss the froglok's control of Sebilis which was by far one of my most favorite zones in the "older" world.

One thing i wanted to know is how will Qyenos and Freeport treat the Sarnak?? They said the Sarnak are a Neutral race, so will that mean they'll be allowed into Qyenos and Freeport?? I guess we'll find out when they announce what classes the sarnak will have access too.(that was the one thing about this game that really irked me when it came out with the whole good vs bad, Qyenos vs Freeport thing. Kind of wish they get rid of that whole thing down the road as life after the shattering becomes more stable and more like life pre-shattering but i know its a pipe dream).

The whole purpose of the convention is to just announce video games to the world, not to go into extreme detail about all the advanced things in it. Sony is trying to pull in new players to the game with this announcement, not attend to the current audience who already plays.

Thanks for posting this!

I'm not sure I like the bent over look too much. As I recall in EQ1 the Sarnak were rather proud and upright. Even in wow some people who play male trolls dont like it. Silverwing looks a bit simplistic as in lack of shading but he did say it was a 3week old build so I'll asume the polishing isnt all done.

Looks like there is a lot of good potential there though so I'm hopeful.

Yeah it isnt even in beta yet so there will be a few things wierd with it...the sarnak were actually hunched a little bit in EQ1...but with eq2's graphics i guess they could hunch them more lol. Im really excited about this expansion.

The combat music changing sounds cool lol but i guess it chant be judged till we hear it

So far, there is one class that we know sarnak can be:

necromancer *points to the character select screen in that video*

The one class that I think would be funny is a Sarnak Swashbuckler... a huge iksar/dragon hybrid will look ridiculous in a feathered hat and the pirate-looking/"swashbuckling" outfit... heh

I don't know.. sarnak would look really funny in the hamburglar hat that the brigand uses or perhaps even the old fury/warden wolf-head hat...

Maybe I missed it, but is Sebilis going to be a player city? If so I'd like to have my old RP attitude of iksar world domination..

If I remember Scott Hartsman said Sebilis was squished by Luclin.

Oh and BTW just so you guys know, he did say durring that interview that it was an Early Apha build he was showing that just happend to be relitivly bug free so they saved it for E3. I would not be suprized if there where still some graphical upgrades in the works for both the Sarnak and the world they are moving though. Remember what the Apha Fae looked like(Gnomes with Taped on Wings).

He was even standing outside of it and there were Iksar guards. I think when he said that the Iksar city was crushed, he was talking about Cabilis.

Cabilis was the Iksar city that was half destroyed. From what I hear a good chunk of it may be an underwater dungeon, though that's just rumor. Sebilis is back in the hands of the Iksar under Emperor Venril Sathir. The frogloks that had previously taken possession of the city have been enslaved. No one has mentioned what happened to Trakanon yet.

Does anyone else notice that glowing piece on the UI in the lower right hand corner? What is that? Never seen it before. *edit* Hah nevermind, closer look I discovered what it was. Looks like an awesome expansion.
