Spell drops not for me.

I have solo'd my way up to 30 and have gotten numerous spell books (Adept I) from my adventuring. Not once have they been for my class, Conjuror. Is this coded into the game to where I will only get spells for other classes? -Daeden of Najena

No, but there are 23 other classes, so it is decent odds <img src="/smilies/69934afc394145350659cd7add244ca9.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> Just from the opposite perspective my Illusionist got two awesome masters the past couple nights, both as she was about to ding into those levels. So miracles can happen hehe ;p

<p>I'm not sure if you are aware of this or not but you can buy/sell items on the broker. Usually, you can sell Adept 1 spells for enough coin to help with your upgrades.  If you find the right rare component (While harvesting or via the broker), you can get your Adept 3 spells made from a tradeskiller.  Talk to your friendly sage for Conj spells.</p>

Fair enough, just seem odd since I have gotten over 23 books at this point. I have already been selling them but it just be nice to see one for me without the middle work of the broker. It used to also depend on the monsters you were fighting and the zone whether or not a certain classes spells drop there or not. I have a 63 Wiz and he has never had a Wiz spell drop for him.  Some of my alts have gotten Wiz spells but not the Wiz.  I don't think I got a spell that I could use with any of my alts.  I got spells for alts on each one but never for that specific alt.

You will find much debate on this topic throughout the forums...it's almost as if there is an unwritten/unspoken code in the game that "knows" what you need, yet won't drop if for you - so that you have to socialize with other players to get what you need, which builds a community environment.  This seems to be the case for drops (gear, spells, etc), as well as, harvesting nodes.  As a Swashy & an Alchemist, I need the rare loams both for my own spell upgrades and for the spells I can make for fighters - yet I hardly ever harvest any rare loams, however, I can harvest a ton of the other rares, for which I don't need, except to sell.  Like a poster said above, sell the books and other items you get on the broker and you will make enough money to buy the spells/items you need.

Because there are so many classes in the game, you have less than a 5% chance when a spell drops that it will be for your class.  That's pretty slim.

I can head out and pick up 20 - 25 adepts and a 2 - 5 masters in an hour or so soloing (do it to get transmuting stuff)- and after doing that for several days I find it all averages out fairly evenly. Did get three "Rescue" Masters in a row two nights ago though <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />

<p>It's a conspiracy, the game cheats, how many times have you been camping a named for a quest update for hours on end, then the next time you are in the zone there he is when you dont need him. The game works out what you need and then doesnt give it to you.</p>
