Hi guys! I just wondered what should be on my hotbar as a 70 Monk? Reason i ask instead of just going to the ca thread is my mains a 70 Ranger and there is at least 1 self buff thats way below par lvl35 i think that we are forced to use still at 70, My wifes long time retired monk has been bugging me for a while now so i thought i'd dust her off and give it a whirl i know she didnt complete getting all her ca's so other than going to the ca thread and counting backwards 14 from 70 anything i should be aware of plz?

Maybe i was a lil too flakey, Sorry guys i actually wanted a ca list not Pictures (pretty though they may be ) so i guess if you dont get gimpy low lvl stuff you need to use at 70 (unlike ranger) i just get everything in ca list from 57+?

Yea start with everything 57-70. You can also add in the few following as it was early and I hadn't finished my coffee yet. Wind walk: lvl 24 Rescue: lvl 25 Devestation Fist: lvl 35 from bloodlines adv pack Intercede: Lvl 34 Instill Panic: lvl 50 (although its kinda blows) And of course you HO starter Fighting Chance: lvl 5 You also want to make sure you get all your ancient teaching spells which are: Outward Calm: lvl 52 Tsunami: lvl 55 Fall of the Phoenix: lvl 57

Ive found this site to be a well of knowledge for skills, for all classes not just monks. http://home.comcast.net/~eq2gamedata/main.html Its got a complete list of all skills 1-70 for all classes, and when each upgrades, what level it upgrade, and what it upgraded from. Also all M2 choices, adventure pack spells, and fluff.

I'm wondering if the level 35 spell you're referring to that you use on your ranger is the one you can get either by completing quests through The Bloodline Chronicles, or you can purchase it from a Scholar (jeweler/alch/sage) depending upon your class. For monks, that ability is Devastation Fist. And, yes, you'll probably still use that one at level 70. My monk is 66 and she uses it a lot.

You can sort out your icons in the Combat abilities window by type, that way you can find the highest lvl variety of any given CA.

Monks are constantly expected to fill 2 very different rolls so you will definatly want to get a few macro's set up for it. Tanking and DPS. I have 4 macros total to help with swapping between the 2 rolls quickly. 2 Macro's will equip my best tanking and jewelry gear and the other 2 equip my dps stuff. (I walk around with 2 bank boxes packed full of gear so I can tweak what I'm using vs. any given mob....and since I'm a raiding monk who is expected to OT or MT on certain mobs. I need that much crap handy. LOL)

You'll want to sort out your buffs for the 2 rolls monks play too so you can rebuff as needed quickly. One set you'll be using for both rolls and you'll want to turn off Dragon Advance when DPSing and swap between def and offensive stance. There are even times when I turn off Everburning Blaze too (mostly for the long drug out duels like monk vs. shaman)
