gonna be doing some labs and LoA runs as MT soon. I know what macro's to use I think.. but not 100% on if I should use a main assist to call in the attack, or should I just use a macro and call it myself. also, should healers be targeting thru me? should I be worried about switching targets also? any suggestions appreciated, thanks <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />

i would highly recommend a MA, sometimes you need others to stop attacking and an MA can pull target from the mob while you get things under control. if they are targeting through you they will just keep on attacking cause they see the target in thier HUD. healers will usually target through you but they should know when and where to target the mob or other players. work with them. as a general rule, if a mob memwipes its good to have most healers target through it and designaate one or 2 to stay on tank at all times. might want to have a secondary tank for a couple of the fights, Pardas predd comes to mind so they can grab the adds (currently i just tank all the mobs but it can be helpfull when starting to split them. switch targets as you need, nice thing about being an sk is you can hold most aggro with aoe and if a mob gets loose death march will bring it home.

If you have good gear try tanking in your off stance. I ushaly go sword/board and off stance. Only time ill realy say this you want a dirge in your group. Keep your HT ready when you get spiked to deep red theres your emergency heal. ive talked with some of my healers in easyer zones such as labs or LoA they prefer me as tank due to self heals, but hate the spike dmg we recine.

You'll only be as good of an MT as your group your in,thats half your battle. As an sk, you will spike abit more then the warriors, only because your avoidence will always be lower,so you recive more damage, you don't get hit harder [key difference], just more. Make sure your healers are ready to understand that there will be spikes, and to preheal while avoiding the prewards. for labs, you'll be fine in offstance up until the yellow cons, might want to swich about swiching over, and not to start a debate on taticts, but for prad if you save DM for 50% and have the healers ready, you can easily hold the encounter.and have more friends to life tap from. Whats your AA's look like Cocia?

Imo...in a zone like labs you really don't need a MA except for possibly named mobs if you need to burn down adds instead of just using AE dps to take adds down...It's usually pretty safe to just have the healers target through you and switch targets if someone grabs agro except for when on named mobs. It's always best to have healers target through the named, especially with the named trio since the ravager mem blurs and switches targets a lot sometimes...the only exception to this would be if you have a healer designated to spam trauma cures or whatnot
