I think this 'bug' should be changed. Surely a mob would not retaliate until they have actually been hit by the arrow, or knife or whatever? I find it annoying that as I start to nock the arrow, the enemy is already on me. I like to watch the arrow fly through the air for a bit, not do a 2 inch stab from a bow. All other mmo's I have played have got it right, why can't eq2?

Seems ludicrous that the baddie is on top of me even before I finish drawing the bow. Course, he does have the damage done but esthetically it don't look good. Know what I mean, Gene?

Agree - given that irl the mob would really have to consider where the arrow came from as well - it is not as if there is time to perform a chain of attacks in the milliseconds the mobs take to cover the distance in any event, so surely we could wait till after the arrow reaches the mob for the mob to aggro us.

This would make being a Ranger alot better. Lotro got the timing of arrows/ sound, and animation all corrext. EQ2 can too!

Not only that but they appear to do melee damage from 10m away when you first pull them unless they are chained or mezzed in some way.
