Will patching ever end?

<p>Yesterday I installed eq2 and renewed my subscription to start playing again and i have been patching for about 16 hours... is this normal??</p><p>All help is greatly appreciated!!</p>

Depends on lots of factors.  What speed of connection you have, what expansions you have to download (bought digitially), what extras you have checked in your patcher, etc...

<p>I have broadband and the speed is 54.0 mbps... I havent bought any expansions digitally to download.. and there isn't any extras checked in my patcher. Also, my firewall is turned OFF and I do not have any virus protection ect. thats not normal at all >.> I have a 9megabit downspeed connection, I downloaded the digital DL with EQ + all expansions (8gigs) and patched it in about 3 hours <img src="/smilies/9d71f0541cff0a302a0309c5079e8dee.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />

The patcher is a bit "blonde" and forgets what it is doing at times.  Since it is stuck on the same file for awhile now press cancel and restart it.  The patcher is bit-by-bit so it will start exactly where it left off.  If things start slowing down again press cancel again and restart it.  Repeat as necessary.

That is how mine used to be. About three months ago when I did this it only took 2 hours to patch what I am patching now.
