I am currently beginning preparations to come to PvP and do my level best to kick some booty (eventually, after you all have spilt my blood a bit first, which I understand is a necessary element in the learning curve). I am currently levelling a few crafters, following the advice on these forums, preparing to be properly geared, etc.

However, one thing I have not thought of until now is whether my "Mouse-Click" style is going to cut it in PvP. I have played this game in PvE for 3 yrs and in all that time I have used left hand on keyboard for movement and right hand mouse for almost everything else. I have watched some of the excellent PvP vids here on the forums and have noticed that some folks PvP seemingly quite successfully using a mouse to click CAs and spells.

Does using the keyboard exclusively give any advantage in PvP if you are reasonably good at it? I will have to learn those skills, of course, but will have the time to practice them if it is clearly worth the effort.

Any feedback on this is greatly appreciated!

well bro it all depends on a few things

IF you excel at tracking dozens of skillz and abilites and what there hotkeyed to at any given time then YES the keyboard CAN be your best friend (although tab targeting can hurt as much as help somtimes) but if your like myself an dmany other people well its jsut way to much to track sooooooo keyboard/mouse combo it is

Macros are the key for me. I am a mouse user and I have macros for PvP and some for PvE. They are wonderful, especially if your a healer. I use a few on my Ranger, but my Fury has about 10 different macros and they are so easy to make now. Took me forever to learn all the commands back in the old days, when we had to actually type. If you are a mouse user, make sure you set up your UI so you are comfortable with where everything is. Oh, and don't let your batteries run out if your using a cordless mouse, I get killed every time that happens.

Personnaly i am i big mouse user, and i seem to do ok. I only use macros for speech atm

I think the majority of people the mouse for a lot of stuff, but keyboard can be useful when you want to do things quickly, and it means you dont click the spell next to the one you want to by accident

Keyboard all the way. It's a pain at first, but once you got it down, so much faster. I can only cover so many things, so my potion cures and regen/clarity have to be mouse clicked... but works out fine.

Only reason I grab the mouse is to click yes on the Token I'm looting. You and chat basically witout thinking while in battle too... so nice.

Exur - 70 Coercer

Venekor

I hope someone makes some kind of telepathic controler. It is sad when you have to drop food or drink from you left hand because of PVP
