How does mail work, exactly? Can you send mail from good toons to evil toons? and, how long does it take for the mail to get from one toon to the next? thanks

Mail is faster than the Pony Express, but slower than email (sometimes!) Sending items and money can take a little while before reaching its intended party (so don't freak out like I initially did if it hasn't arrived after 15 minutes.) I'd give it a good 30 minutes. I believe text only mail will send quickly.

As for mailing things to players of a different alignment, you can now do that. I believe the restrictions on mailing are no lore items, and clearly, no No-Trade items 10 copper for a text/coin only mail, and 50 copper if you're sending an item.

Hope that helps!

Click on mailbox - your received mail window opens. Click on the send tab, type in character name, message and add goods or coin.

Message (and coin?) only costs 10c, sending any goods costs 50c.

PVE - send to anyone, PVP send to same faction (good or evil only)

20 - 30 minutes for delivery

Forgot this - you have 7 pages of slots available for incoming mail - it tells you they will expire in 30 days, but they don't. I keep all my characters upgrades in the mail (spells, armour, weapons etc) so if I am out adventuring when I level I only have to find a mailbox to get my stuff.

You can also send text mail (no items or money) to people playing on other EQ2 servers and people playing some of SOE's other games. Just use the following : Servername.Charactername for EQ2 Players on another Server EQ.Servername.Charactername for someone playing the original Everquest. SWG.Servername.Charactername for someone playing Star Wars Galaxies.
