What do you mean I have to download the game 2x ?!?!?!

So I downloaded and played the "Play the Fae" demo yesterday (took all day long). And since I had an old account that I played EQ2 with back a year or 2 ago I decided to renew it. So when I went to go log into my old account the patcher is telling me I have another 14hrs of patches!! W.T.F. ?!?! Didn't it just download the whole game yesterday?

Exactly.  14 hours and then 30 minutes later if drops to 20 minutes and then back up to 2 hours...  Depending on the connection to almighty "el patch'o", the time varies. ~Gnobrin!

Exactly, My patch today said somewhere between 14 and 16 hours.. and now i'm running on 3, and i have roughly 20 minutes left.. That's the GOOD thing about the patcher, is it's a pleasant suprise when it's done in three hours instead of 15!

Also if you open the ports in your firewall for the patcher the download is considerable quicker. Can't remember the ports right now.

Don't worry, when I downloaded the game it said I had 400 hours remaining for most of the time. It finished in around 8 hours, so it does lie with its estimated time remaining!

Didn't it just download the whole game yesterday?</blockquote><p> If you have the Play the Fae demo, they don't necessarily put in the entire game.  If you used an old account, you need to remember all the files that need to be added and any expansions or andy adventure packs that you may have added.</p><p>Don't worry to much about the patcher time.  Sometimes it does that to mess with you or even the time of day if many people are going to play.  Isn't the server for patching the same as the one used to log into the game?</p>
