What? Fan Faire isn't enough for you? How about a block party during Comic-Con for those of you in SoCal then? That's right, we are having our second annual Block Party (and sweat out five pounds in the hot SoCal sun) soon! More information can be found on the EQ2Players website.

Hey man, I RSVP'd from the post in the SWG forums. I live in Ocean Beach, so I am about 15 mins from you guys. Let me know if you guys need an extra band. (shameless plug) http://www.shoestringstrap.com/ Alt country music

I didn't go last year, but I think I will head over after a bit of Comi-Con this year. "How early should i arrive to get a parking spot?" The day before Last year I spent 10 minutes in a paid parking complex trying to find a spot to park. The trolly is alot easier and it stops right in front of Comi-Con, then you just take the bus over to SOE HQ.

I should be down there for Comic-Con and the Block Party again this year. Are you going to have tours of the three SOE buildings again? Those were really popular last year and filled up fast. Will you be showing Gods and Heroes and Pirates of the Burning Sea too? I just have one suggestion-- It would be really nice if we all got a name tag sticker so that we could write down our character name, game and server, and real name. I know I'll recognize a lot of SOE faces from just seeing pictures here and there but there are a lot more that I won't recognize too. It would also be fun to run into people from my server or people that I recognize from the forums. Othesus - Dirge - Lucan DLere Vaspar - Fury - Lucan DLere

Was there last year, was a blast, so glad it is being held in the afternoon this time, hopefully not on the hottest day of the year, plus drove through one of the worst rain storms on the way home last time, trying to put together a guild meeting there. Hope to see you there, and if you see me you will know it. Luesir

Last year's block party was held on one of the hottest days ever in San Diego. I'll be at this year's block party, but it just won't be the same without Blackguard running around, drenched in sweat, beatboxing and guiding tours. I wonder what Grimwell will do.

I'd imagine since he's from the northern climes as well as am I, he'll be in the same sweat-boat as others of past years. There's rumor of better conditions to ensure a better experience, too! Hope to see you all here, come comicon! ~Gnobrin!

I haven't RSVP'ed yet {wipes egg off face} But I'll be there again this year, minus the fudge that really didn't deal well with the heat last year.

So it's been a few days... who has registered already? I know this has more of a regional pull, but I'm excited because it's a fun bit of time before FF gets rolling!

Last time, I just parked and walked into the party. Lornick wrote:
I'd sure like to go, but that's quite the trip. If this is gonna be an annual event, I think I'll make it a point to go to comic con next year. I wouldn't mind checking that out anyway.
Pfft, it's not that far. It just seems that way because there are no trees around the City of Trees. I love Idaho.

If you'll be in San Diego for the Comic-Con (preview night is tonight) it looks like SOE will be in the Sony Pictures booth this year: http://comic-con.org/cci/forms/cci0...aroundbooth.pdf Sony Pictures Imageworks & Sony Online Entertainment, 4419 Imageworks and SOE have joined together in one booth at this year’s show to offer book signings from the artists behind the visual effects and animation of Spider-Man 3 and Surf ’s Up, as well as live demos of several SOE games currently in development. Both companies are operating units of Sony Pictures Digital Entertainment. Of course, the Block Party will be the place to be on Saturday. And Comic-Con is completely sold out already on Saturday so it will be reeeally crowded. Othesus - Dirge - Lucan DLere Vaspar - Fury - Lucan DLere

Now that the dust has settled, it's time for a recap! I had a great time, met lots of cool people, and went home very, very tired. Hard to argue!

Thank you for hosting another very fun event. I thought the food was great last year, but you guys went and kicked it up a notch this year! I totally stuffed myself. I really enjoyed seeing the working (albeit unfinished) version of RoK you folks had running, and the preview of The Agency was really cool too. Thanks again, and I'll see you all again next year!

Is it me, or do the prizes on the table look like XBOX360 controllers? Why is Sony giving away Microsoft stuff?

Actually they're Logitech Chillstream controllers. They were also giving away some mice and keyboards. I managed to get one of the Chillstreams (thanks Brenlo!) Had a very fun time at the Block Party. Looking forward to The Agency, as well as the new expansion coming out!
