I don't think I understand what you mean... the quests are still there. Every newbie goes through more or less the same stuff for their respective cities... races and Qeynos/Freeport have slight differences, but the general content is always there... it doesn't go away because the server is populated.

I think he is talking about the low level raids which are pretty much ignored.

Welcome to Everqueset 2.

I don't see the introduction of a new server any time soon, but I think you will get plenty of opportunity to enjoy the game without a new server.

If there was a new server, it wouldn't mean that people would still spend their time doing old raids, and for good reason.

The low level raids are still done as needed, but there isn't much need for them any more. It's a different type of game than what you may have played previously. New content is added regularly and while it doesn't make the old content completely obsolete it opens up options that are generally preferable to the old content.

In the current game there is lots of level 70 raid content, and we just had a new raid zone introduced about a week ago. If you focus more on enjoying the new content and worry less about old content you might see things in a much more optomistic light. There is an entire new expansion with a new level cap and tons of content being added in November this year. I believe they said it would be the largest expansion to date because Kunark was so beloved by the original eq1 community. The original Kunark set the standard for all expansions in all mmorpgs to date much like eq1 set the standard for mmorpgs altogether.

Old content can still be done, and you're never too high to go back and do something you might have missed earlier because there is a mentoring system where you can lower your level to that of another player and experience content you would normally be too high level to experience.

hello and welcome to EQ2, i now have a 70 pal and did almost every content along the way, i know i didn´t see everything right now (i do play since beta). EQ2 has so much of content you can play on and on for years (if you don´t play it hardcorestyle). the key to the game is, finding a guild or at least a couple of good mates which you can grp up with. (it´s the same in almost every mmorpg.) so long s.t., Zergosch btw. i know it´s kinda hard to get more then one grp at low lvl sometimes, but most x2 can be done (blue or greencon) with one grp.

If you're also interested in pvp, you should try out one of the pvp servers (I recommend venekor). They tend to have high low lvl populations because many people lvl lock so they can improve their characters by doing more of the content.

Hello and welcome to EQII! If you're worried about the low levelled raids, never fear! I myself suffer from a serious case of alt'oholism, and I usually venture into the mid 20's before I have to try something else. Any "raid"or other group content of the lower levels you may want to take part in is always easily accessed by simply putting the word out that you want to take it on. There's always someone out there that would like to try it as well, so use that help to your advantage... If anything, you'll more then likely make some new friends that'll follow you through your adventuring career! ~Gnobrin!

Ok thanks for the help guys... ok now i have another question, im big on raids and i like to be a class needed on raid, so besides the obvious (temp and inquis) what other classes do raid guilds look for most often?

Not just temp and inquis but any healer usually. After that mainly its the ones they don't have You might check out the server forums for the specific server you are going to and check out the guild recruitments. A lot of raiding guilds post what classes they are looking for.

Another possibilty is just to start playing that toon you like and look for a guild that needs YOU and raid with them All of the classes around can and will be used in raids, on tanks there will be enough with 2-3 per raid but all others always needed.
