I rolled a swashy on naggy. Spent the first AA's getting torporous strike. Now I'm level 12 and seeking advice on how to structure my hotbars. There are a wide variety of positional attacks, stealthed attacks, etc, already at 12. Its hard to figure out the best way to lay out the buttons. It occurs to me torporous should be part of any leading or initial counter-attacking strikes. So I'm considering a macro sequence which includes torporous. Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you.

I personally like to get in all my melee mitigation debuff attacks in first because everything else damage wise will benefit from that. If i'm raiding i like to lead with Traumatic Swipe and Torporous. When i'm in the MT grp I like to get my ae attacks off pretty quickly because of the aggro transfer to the tank. When I'm not I save them as to allow the tank to build. Also things depend on how your aa speced (I'm sure some of the agi swashies can chime in here), what weapon you are using (If I'm using the claymore reward I like to get constrain off early for the divine debuff), what your grp set up is like, and what your doing (obviously if you are soloing and not agi specced you are going to get less back attacks in). I think its all a matter of taste, style and what feel comfortable for you as far as where to put them on your hot bar.

Are you talking PvP or raiding?

I generally start with my double cross (def+wis debuff) > whirl of blades (mit debuff i think first is level 50) and then back/side attack mit debuff called Guile. heres my hotbar set up at t7 as a pvp character although its perfectly fine for pve as i still parse high :0

Rippitt, I should have been more clear, Naggy = Nagafen = PVP. I'm too cryptic sometimes.

well since you play pvp i can explain my hot bars to ya.. Generally start with third hotbar from the top using the first two CA's (ranged dmg snare+ magic/divine snare.) Then i go with the second hotbar from the top using Razor point(frontal/side attack) deagro+cheap shot. After that ill use the spells next to cheap shot (uncanny response and whirl of blades.) I generally try to keep my stuns timed so when the person has stun immunity off hes getting it back up. I use the aoe knockback as people get closer to me and i use the stealhed attack after i use the deaggro that puts you in stealth(lie low?). As for back attacks if i use my aoe knockback or cheap shot and im feeling cocky ill try to get a back attack off but generally I don't try much because we have so many non positional attacks if you plan to pvp get the swashbuckler tree first for the aa line called Reach and get the final ability. It makes swashbucklers in pvp ten times easier to play and better. all spell names are t7 ones i dont remember the tier 2 names sorry
