<p>I'm going to duel weild I guess for a bit since i'm a noob Swash....so what should I focus on first? This is for AA line and armor. So which ones?</p>
Well the Wis line of AA requires you use just onehand with the other empty, so if you want to dual wield that would not be the AA line for you. Thats about the one thing i know. Still a big newb.

I'd start w/ STR. Don't go Wis until you have enough points to really take advantage of the line.

is this true even after the new update where they nerfed the wis line? has anybody parsed the str/agi vs str/wis? if so i would love to see some numbers.

fabled for fabled...wis is still outparsing DW here and on test servers...this has been hashed over again and again...not by much, but still its the way to go for now. start with STR and after thats filled out and you have access to better 1 handers make the switch unless you REALLY like dual wielding.

I have about 25 AA's at lvl 26 and soon will have filled out the STR line and plan to respec to throw some of those points into the WIS line.</p><p>What quality of one hander should I be looking for to get at least break even on DPS? Mastercrafted? Treasured? Legendary? Fabled?</p>

<p>all depends on how many AA's you have and what kind of gear to get max dps...mastercrafted or legendary 1 handers work fine untill 65+, and personally i would fill the wis tree up right after you finish the STR line. i wouldnt bother to respec, just start throwing points at it as you get them.</p><p>the capability of the WIS tree is quite good though, a couple weeks ago when i just dinged 37 i hit a parse for 1.4k, since then i have hit 2k on blue group mobs, at lvl 50, my average dps though is ussually between 600 and 900...thats still plenty for wearing blood ore armour and a treasured 1 hander...i do however have AA on my side...lvl 50 with 59 AA.</p><p>But yeah, unless you like the dual wielding, for now i would start working on the wis line.</p>

<p>Has anyone run a side by side parse test of dual wield str/agi with single handed agi/wis? I presume that the best way to do this now would be on the test servers, b/c GU 37 will permit dual wielding 1hders. </p><p>I've always done agi/wis on my swashs and brigs. with cheldrak equipped on swash in raids, I exceed 2k with multiple mobs, and come close to 2k on singles. am very interested in how str/agi will play out with cheldrak in one hand and either the qeynos kilj or vyemm's fang in the other. Thanks.</p>

well, so far isnt looking much differant because of the delay increase for the weapon in your off hand...also, the best 1 handers of today may not be the best dual wield of tomarrow...DW are getting their damage increased by what, 30%? some of the dual wields out there may just put the current great one handers to shame...

<p>Well, if dw is basically the same as double attack under wis line now, then the choice seems to sort out this way:</p><p> By switching from agi/wis to str/agi, you get the 2nd tier str attack that increases opponent's recovery time, something like 28 pts more defense, 13.6% more crits, and the last str ability which I think nerfs opponent's reuse time. I presume you also get the added stats and procs of your second weapon.</p><p> On the ohter hand, by switching you lose lunge reversal, the 68% double attack (of course), and the bonuses from coule (15 pts to parry, def, and melee and ranged attacks?)</p><p>It's hard for me to balance this all out without data. In one parse last night, I had 1 critical in 112 attacks and 853 damage from one lunge reversal. If by changing, I got 14 more crits, would that increase exceed 853? It surely would. But would the addition of the str defense buff and the benefit of the weapon stats make up for the lost coule bonuses? I don't know. </p><p>In short, it seems like a pretty close call. It may depend on which weapons you have. I hope Vyemm's Fang becomes a monster 1 hander. </p>

its gonna take some hard numbers after the LU w/ the dual wield...cause haste is no reason to switch...sorry, but in a raid, i get all the haste i need on my other alts...after 100 haste you get diminishing returns...so, I dunno, so far its not looking like i am making the switch to DW.

He is talking about the casting time/recast redcution from end of AGI tree.
