Hail and well met, folks,

If I'm reading the patch notes correctly, (from LU 36), then it means I no longer have to use an Axe to get the benefits of the Warrior STR AA line or a Sword for the INT line, etc, etc.

Is this correct?

Here is the line from the patch notes:

"...Removed most weapon requirements from the second set of achievements of all Class achievement trees..."

A) It says "most" not "all"

B) It says "... the second set of achievements..." I have no idea what that means.

So, due to the ambiguity of A) and B) above... I'm not sure if I still need an Axe for the STR line and a Sword for the INT line or not.

Thanks for your help and feedback on this.

Take care folks.

P.S. I think A) above; "MOST weapon requirements" means everything but shield and ranged weapons... but I'm not sure.

The first sets of achievements are the ones that will actually raise your strength or int. The second one down were the ones usually needing a specific weapon.

Yes, the weapon restrictions were removed from most. The reason why it is most and not all is for the ones that wouldn't make sense to remove the restrictions. Like most Stamina lines that required a shield will still require a shield. Another one is if the line required bare hands. It most likely will still require bare hands.

So for SK, the only line I bet that still requires something is the Stamina line with a shield. All the others should have been removed.

Great, thank you Moongloom for the prompt reply... I wonder though if I might impose on you again...

While I'm sure "Buckler Reversal" still requires a "Buckler" vs, say... a Tower Shield... one can hope right?

I don't suppose you know whether or not I can use ANY shield type for Buckler Reversal, (and the next one down... something something Finesse)?

<gets down on his knees and prays he can use his nice cool, BIG, Tower Shield and not some wimpy lookin' lil' dinner plate of a Buckler>

Thanks again.

Take care.

You still must have a buckler equipped to use Buckler reversal. Not sure about those that following it.

BTW I don't think that Gladiator's Finesse ever required a buckler, so you get it all the time.
However Gladiator's Revenge does require a buckler. Or at least it did.

Incorrect, the entire Gladiator tree always required a buckler, with possibly the final ability being the only exception.
