I remember from when i briefly played at release there were some armour quests to get yourself kitted out in pretty nice gear. Are these still worth doing? Where do you get them from? Also are there any other quests considered a "must do" i should know about. My char is hailing out of Qeynos if that has any bearing on it.

There really aren't any "must do" quests that I can think of. Sure, a lot of the HQ's are nice to do, but for the most part I think they're more of a pain thatn they're worth.

The armor quests aren't really "must do" either, as the quality of dropped and player-made armors were balanced out to be similar. That said, I generally do them anyway, as they give a nice look to my characters for the few levels that the armor is worth wearing.

That said. . . . questing gives nice XP bumps, decent rewards, and AAXP to boot, so. . . it's a lot more worthwhile than grinding.

Well they nerfed the last "must do" quest - Tie That Binds!! No longer exists and it scaled.

Early on you would want to get your LLs for your areas Mastery Strikes, Orc in CL (Crossroads in building) and Gnoll in Ant (Chest in Gnollslayer Keep) and keep picking them up for the various mobs as you move zones.

As the above has said though, there are no "Must Do's" there is more than enough content to keep you occupied and there is always the situation that while in the midst of one quest you get caught up in a new one that you pick up that has a better reward!

I'd say once you were in your 40s 50s the Carpet quest in SS is a quest a lot of people go for as well, good XP, AA and reward at end.

Thanks, i'll probably do all that i come across anyway it's just i wanted to be sure i didnt miss anything important. As to the armour q's where can i start them off?

What are LL's?

Also, heroic mobs, would a Illusionist and Conjurer be able to take down one of the same level?

Moongloom wrote:
LL = Lore and Legend
Quests normally given by static clickable objects in teh game which give you a book about a specific creature type like orcs. YOu have to gather and study various body parts of that creature and when you finish the quest you get an ability which does good damage against that type of creature. (At least thats how it was in the past. I don't know if those abilities still exist).

Dont worry about the fact you havent got any AA's yet. When AA's originally come out, many people were level 60 already, and a lot of them now have 100 AA's, so you dont really need to put adventuring on hold til you get the expansions. Yeah, you might miss out on AA xp from a few quests or such, but not much.

Lucky you. I will wait till RoK till I get the expansions....

When you hit 70, adventuring xp is converted into (very very small) AA xp. So as long as you keep playing your 70 against green cons and greater, you will continue to accrue achievement experience!

One option, if you don't have any expansions that unlock aa, is to do no quests at all and wait until you get expansions and just mentor for all the quests. You could even do the quests and then just not turn them in until you have the expansion.

The only problems with this is that many quests lead to other quests so you may still be running around doing grey quests. Plus questing gives a pretty large amount of experience and to level up soloing without the quest exp may be a little slower. A solution would be to start getting into groups as soon as possible, if you get the right people you can start as low as 12-14 in blackburrow and wailing caves. You may have to be proactive about putting a group together there though.
