I just reactivated my account and plan on probably starting on a different server and giving this game a go again. Will I be missing any tremendous content by only having the KoS xpac? Or will I be fine for a while in the get go? Any feedback would be appreciated.

Some have really rubbish stuff in the EoF tree, others have good stuff.

I highly reccomend getting the eof pack, it will give you dof as well, and the added 100 AAs help a lot, plus if you dont have it, you can miss out on a lot of group opportunitys.

You'll be fine until either the end game or your max your first 50 aa if you really don't wanna fork out the money right now. EoF is graphically superior and the gear is superior to anything else though. Just don't make your decision based on wanting to roll a fae, lol.

Well I'm planning on starting either a DE or Human SK, so will I be missing any good content that EoF brings for that combination? If so I might look into getting the online download of all the expansions.

IMO...yes. You will be missing out on some great things by not having the EoF pack.

You can live without it, and still progress...but you will have less group opportunities, less AA choices (and there are some excellent EoF ones for SKs by the way), no access to some considerably superior gear drops and quest rewards in EoF (the EoF legendary class sets are quite good etc..). Basically, they did a great job on EoF and the zones are a treat as well.

Alright, I'll take your word and I'll be getting EoF before I start out, thanks to everyone for their advice.

I just have to say that the SK AA lines in the EoF tree are great. They have a reaver line which increases the amount you can heal yourself and it makes you a monster soloer. 448 in the Int line and max the reaver line and you're set for dps and surviveability.

I've been forgetting to ask one thing, what about the adventure packs? I had them before when I had the station access bundle but only reached around level 17 before everyone I knew quit and then I shortly followed. Should I get all of them or none, or would it be more personal preference? This should be my last question for a while at least .

They are even gonna stop releasing them, and jus tpush some free content once in a while instead.

Bloodlines is definately not worthwhile because nobody every goes there. Also, there is a little bit of talk on the test server that they may be adding an upgrade spell to the one available with that expansion, so it makes it even more obsolete.

Splitpaw can be worthwhile if you want to solo in an instance that is made for your specific level. The only problem with splitpaw is that it's very hard to get any group quests accomplished, plus it was made when the level cap was 50 so it only scales up to 50 (unless this was changed recently).

The fallen dynasty adventure pack is worthwhile in my opinion because you can still do things there at level 70. Plus there are some cool house items you can get from quests there. I also lost adventure packs when I downgraded my subscription and this is the only one I plan on buying.

one point missed - the EoF expansion allows you to start your aa accumulation at lvl 10 - KoS at 20. There are a heap of points to be collected in those 10 levels (sure you can catch up later, but worth considering)

Yeah from what everybody has said I'm gonna get EoF first then I might pick up the splitpaw saga and the other one that was mentioned to be good even at 70.
