I have enjoyed EQII just about since its launch. I think its a brillant game and the best of its kind out there, but one aspect I have always wanted to see and i think would help to keep the interest of players, would be the ability to purchase land and to build your own home or even castle where perhaps you could have henchmen (pets) to defend it aganst orc raiders and such. Thats my 2 cents worth. id be interested to hear your thoughts Thx Skky (and countless other alts)

Excellent idea that I'm surprised has never ever been brought up before. Just, wow. Your astute observation on what could very well turn out to be a key feature of this game is both humbling and awe-inspiring. Thank you.

To elaborate a litte, it could be one incentive for people to purchase titles, other then just having it in your name it could actually have some meaning. for instance say a Knight could build a small fortification, have a limited number of henchmen and perhaps be attacked by random patrols of enemy where as a Barron would be able to construct an entire castle, have a large amount of henchmen and maybe even come under seige by an army of enemy. Castle walls could take damage similar to gear or who knows maybe even burned to the ground if left undefended. I could ramble on and on but ill give it a rest now -)) Later Skky

If they did something like this it would have to be instanced just like current houses are. I really don't want to be running around CL/ANT dodging houses every five steps. If your talking about non-instanced houses, no.
