Ok, I play a long time, but returned after a long break. I am wearing the same lv 50 armor for a LONG time now, and I am just sick of it.

I wear that black cobalt armor, the chest piece has 392 Mit.

Now everyone keeps telling me there are sets and whatnot. I spent quite some time digging into Allakhazahm, but all items which are really better are raid items. I dont raid. I have no guild to raid, but a small guild of close friends and I dont want to go into another for raids. So my question is: are there good armor pieces I can get without a raid? If so, where? I was lured to buy EoF with the promise of new better armor even for non raiders. Now tell me this wasnt a fake promise. I am still running around in pre-DoF armor, and I am tired of this set. I am seeing the same set for 1 year now. *__*

Just tell me good armor is not reserved for raiders and plat-buyers.

Any advise? (Besides leave your guild or find a raid.) Thx.

EDIT: One of many reasons NOT to go raiding (besides the fact I find it deadly boring) is: ONE named drops ONE piece. So if everyone wants it, you justly had to repeat it 24 times, otherwise 1 gets what he deserved for his work and the rest gets cheated. I just dont support such a system. if ALL people contributed to a success, ALL deserve equal payment, not one gets the treasure and the rest gets a kick in the [Removed for Content].

There is definately gear that whips the cobalt stuff, even if yours is from before the TS revamp. Especially in EoF heroic zones. Oh, btw, we had a revamp of the way stats work, so you might wanna hear that they are put on a diminishing returns curve. So, once you hit about 60% mit, thats about as good as it gets.

One thing you might what to consider is doing some guild writ raids. They are short x2 raids - designed to be an introduction to raiding. The raids scale to the level of the first group to zone in. You can mentor to reduce that on zone it, and then unmentor to make it a bit easier. Each chest that drops contains 1-3 molds for legendary armour. At levels 50-59 that will be level 50 legendary - a bit better than cobalt. At 60+ it will be level 60 legendary armour - better than xegonite. You choose from a selection of pieces suitable for your class. Molds for hand/head/foot armour are common. Chest/leg armour is rare. The first raid can be done in 30 minutes and gives 2 chests. You can't get the quest for access again until you have done the full set though.
